A short story of what happens a day with Esper and Combattre (and a bit of owner in it) A slice of life! Im sorry if it's short. ....---....---....---....---....---....---.... "Hey hey! Ooooi Master." Aaaah it was Sunday today and the temperature today was horrendously humid and warm. Esper was lounging on the couch with nothing on except his boxers and Combattre was sitting right in front of the fan, taking a short break from his usual training routine. "What... Do you want now?" Hand already wrapped around the door knob and ready to do some grocery shopping. They sighed when they heard no reply back in the living room-- They swear Esper is a douchebag sometimes so they hollered for him. "What the fuck do you want Esper? Better make this quick!" Cue the long "ummmm" sound but right after that a figure came walking out of the living room, ah Sweet Combattre. "The usual Master. Esper's running out of ice cream (Seriously? Again? Are you sure?)... Is it alright if I request for a milkshake?" Sweet sweet child. Bless Combattre for being a blessedly good I.M.Muse. The owner couldn't help but smiled and pat Combattre on his skull. "Of course. I don't mind at all! Just look after the house and Esper alright?" Pleased that his Master was happy, Combattre then nodded his head in affirmative before reassuring that everything is going to be fine and he won't let Esper wreck the house. Arms then slithered around Combattre's neck from behind and a head was then placed on his left shoulder. Esper clung onto Combattre like a monkey before whining. "I'm bored. Combat I'm bored. Oi Mortal Combat I'm boooored. I bought new games today so let's play. Don't make me order you" Combattre sighed then with little to no effort he swung the other I.M.Muse onto his shoulder, carrying him like he would with a rice bag. "How about we do something physical like improving your combat skills? We don't want a repeated incident back in the Arena don't you?" Esper shrugged and just let Combattre carried him all the way to the gym. Today's hot and it made him really sluggish and with Combattre carrying him, he doesn't need to walk his way there. So it's a plus. Once they arrived, Combattre carefully placed Esper back on the floor-- "Esper I know today's weather is quite warm but wear a shirt at least. You know you can get sick easily." "I'm fiiiine. I just want to get this over wi--" a white gym shirt was thrown right to his face which he quickly got it off his face, revealing a cheeky looking Combattre. "Not today Esper. You can't order me today." Aaah that elicit a chuckle from Esper. He quickly put the shirt on. "Lucky you Com. Lucky you..." ....---....---....---....---....---....---.... "Again." The dummy staggered violently as Esper smacked his feet against it, a sidekick. "Not strong enough. Again." Without any complain Esper did it once more but this time he slipped halfway and fell down on his back. His cheekbones flushed and breathing quite harsh, sweat matted his bones. "Aah. Whoah. I give Com! I giiive!" "Are you alright Es?" Combattre held out his hand for Esper go hold on, looking genuinely worried. "Was I being too strict again?" As Esper was being pulled up by Combattre, Esper shook his head and shrugging it off. "Aww naw naw. Compared to before I'm actually quite fine! Really..." A hand on Combattre's head, gentle pats. "I'm fine. I'm fine Com I'm not in any danger so chill a bit eh? I think you've trained me enough to keep myself alright." He could see Combattre's shoulders visibly relaxed, the tension leaving his body as Esper keep giving him reassurance. "... You just say that because you want to get out of training don't you?" Wait what. "Eh..." Exactly what? The smile on Combattre's face was unsettling. "I think the basics aren't enough. 10 sets of push ups, 20 sets of sits up, 50 laps around the house-" And on it goes. And Esper wished he didn't say a fucking Single Thing. "F U C K."
