Just jogging...
It is so easy to exercise outside in this town. . . Not only is everyone, for the most part, extremely fit and healthy, but the weather is completely reliable in providing a constantly hot and humid atmosphere,
but my apartment is just a 10 minute walk from the White House and the Washington Monument. It is a great place to run and exercise! For the first few runs, I recommend setting aside at least two hours because while you will most likely not run the whole two hours, you will need extra time to stop and gaze at the beautiful exhibits you will stumble upon. While running along the mall, aside from the monuments along the way, you will see college kids playing ultimate frisbee, companies competing in softball tournaments, lots of other runners, picnics in the grass, && lots and LOTS of tourists! It is a beautiful sight to see, and I enjoy every run. There is even a beautiful view of the Potomac River behind the Lincoln Memorial where you can see a really cool outdoor classroom area. This area is used by countless locals to workout accompanied with a spectacular view of the Jefferson Memorial, the Potomac River, and the city of Arlington. Just a very inspiring view!
