After finding Son1c’s 10aus stuff, a thought entered my brain. What would Mika’s shatterverse counterparts look like? I first started with No Place Mika, aka Kazumi. Kazumi has meanings of peace and tranquility along with water, oceans, rivers. Rivers are constantly changing. Rivers have a beginning and an end. Mika’s name means “new moon”. New moon, new life. She is a ghostly Nekomata, I try to keep a reincarnation theme with her name. Something I will do with the other counterparts is base them of folklore. I’m also trying to incorporate her two tails but not have her actually have two tails.
Mika is a nekomata, a Japanese yokai.
Kazumi is based off of a type of Nymph. Specifically a Naiad. I don’t think is came out like that, but it was hard to find good inspiration. Half of the Naiads depicted in art are butt naked and I’m not doing that.
Her tail creates bubbles that can give air but it’s not something to be relying on.
Soooooo backstory.
Kazumi used to be a part of Dread’s crew that he lost. But instead of abandoning him, she never resurfaced. She then became a Naiad. Following a ship she used to care for.
