My friends and I went to see the lovely Iain Stirling last night at a local pub, the audience consisted of 12 people, that's including myself and two friends. He was hilarious, my cheeks were hurting from laughing so much by the end of it!
We spoke to him for a while afterwards, when he signed my ticket he asked my name and I told him it's with a 'G', I said I think Scottish people must find it hard understanding the difference between my 'G's and 'J's because when I spoke to Sam Mctrusty from Twin Atlantic he thought I said 'J'. Iain then told me that he used to share a flat with Sam Mctrusty's brother and he used to go to Twin Atlantic gigs when they were really really small! I asked him if he'd heard of Tango In The Attic as they're another one of my favourite Scottish bands, he was really surprised I'd heard of them being as they're still quite small and he told me he's good friends with them :O I also spoke to him about Pose Victorious (yes I know they split up waaah) and he couldn't get over the fact I knew who they were, we spoke about them for a while and he told me some stories from when they were at uni or whatever. He found their cd on his phone and proceeded to play it out loud and dance haha!
Just gonna go cry for 9823794295343 years over how perfect everything was.
