Three things that made today terrible: Cramps that set in after I had been at work for half an hour.  I had to sit down because I felt like I might faint. The boy I’ve been talking to is being weird and distant.  Idk if it’s me or him... Somehow my head keeps going between how ^that stuff reminds me of my ex-girlfriend *and* feeling mopey remembering the good times I had with her. Three things that made today amazing: Catching up on some work and feeling proud of it Taking a good-enough nap Finding out The Girl with All the Gifts* has been given a movie adaptation and it comes out a week after my birthday and asdfghjkl;qweruyiopuzdkjvhn;kj, I’m so fucking excited I had no idea this was happening and I get to be excited about it for two whole months!!!!!   [Storytime: When I saw the trailer on YouTube my mouth dropped open and as soon as it started playing I was crying and gasping for air.] <3 <3 <3 (*I’m aware that Helen Justineau has been cast as a white woman, while Melanie has been cast as a black girl.  I do wish that Helen had been cast as described.  I think the girl chosen for Melanie looks great and strong and intense and perfect.  I’m going to read more and think hard about it.  But I’m also still going to be the most excited about it because I love the story.) Lesson of the day: When you feel like you’re going to get stuck in feeling sad, go make sure you’re caught the fuck up on recent developments with things you love.
