Staying Alive || Khan and Uhura

Uhura ducked behind a rock. She needed to get back to the shuttle. She could get a phaser or a weapon is she got there. As long as none of the Klingons got her first. She saw Spock and Kirk rushing towards the Klingons, trying to fight them off. Uhura wanted to tell them there was no point. There were at least a dozen Klingons, and only five of them.

Out of nowhere, there was a bright flash of light, and the sound of Klingon screams followed shortly thereafter. She turned towards the source and saw a man in a coat with a giant gun. After a moment of shock, she realized he was on their side. For now. She saw a bat'leth lying on the ground and raced towards it, picking it up and running behind another rock. It wasn't a phaser, but it was better than nothing.

Uhura turned seeing a shuttle flying towards them. Cover! she ordered herself, running towards where the man with the gun was standing. If he shot at her, she'd die, but he might protect her. If she stayed here she was sure to get shot. Uhura dropped her bat'leth and started running towards the man, hoping that she wouldn't be killed.
