Thank You Brainy Bunch Teachers
I’m a simple home maker and a dedicated mother of 4 amazing, happy and smart children who all go to Brainy Bunch International Islamic Montessori. I’m writing this today to express my appreciation to BBIM, and love and gratitude especially to the TEACHERS for existing and providing the best environment for my children to be in till today.
Like other parents, I now acknowledge that our kids are unique in their own special ways, with their own characters and abilities as Allah has intended them to be. And I can’t say that there are any other school that can be best for our kids other than BBIM.
Our story at BBIM started with Khadeeja, our number 2, the Princess. She has always been the kind of child who needs that little bit more extra attention. In her first kindergarten, the teachers would always tell me that Khadeeja is a dreamer, cannot focus in class, and moody. But it was just like any other school. Where teachers teach, and students are expected to listen. Very old school, like how we were taught before. However, Khadeeja will only be interested to learn if she was given one-to-one attention by the teacher. She had a hard time digesting information be it numbers or letters, counting or reading, what more if the lessons was a one-way street approach taught to a group of little people who are naturally anxious and couldn’t sit still, but are forced to anyway. We hated seeing her unhappy with plenty of homework she barely understood.
It was still a good kindergarten, that I need to clarify. It was the same school where we sent our eldest son Luqman, who also started reading ‘late’ at 5 ½ years young, and suddenly became a star student overnight. So by 5 ½ -6 years old, we started researching for a new school.
I think I can say that our kids are among the first to be part of the flagship BBIM kindergarten in Precinct Diplomatic, Putrajaya in 2012 when we started searching for a school that can cater for my Khadeeja’s “needs” at that time. I forgot how we found out about BBIM exactly, but what we know, Montessori would be the best option for her.
From kindergarten when she started at 6 years young, up through lower elementary and currently in upper elementary, Khadeeja now at nearly 11 has bloomed from this quiet timid girl with little to talk about, to this still shy but confident young lady who can discuss with about planets, history, no longer afraid of maths and numbers and problem solving and are more independent than she ever was. Why? Because she and our other children are in this comfortable and safe environment with teachers who are passionate and understand how to cultivate the children’s interest as it is fitrah for them learn happily.
Luqman, the eldest, entered BBIM straight to upper elementary from a non-academic Tahfiz school. But what he gained from the short Montessori year before he entered the Dream Tahfiz Program was amazing. He was even awarded the Hogwards Award for Best English Student. Again, we are proud of his achievements now in transitioning into secondary. He aspires to follow his grandfather's footsteps in studying science at Oxford University.
Our 2 youngest ones Raihana & Umar, who are now in lower elementary and kindergarten respectively are amazing children. They both, we know have learned a lot, they are positive, self-assured, and most importantly they are happy children. We owe these life achievements to all the BBIM teachers who have implemented the Montessori method effectively thru out their lessons inside and outside class.
The Aunties and Uncles (what they call their teachers in school) are mostly wonderful mentors that are ever ready to guide the children in their small classes in their own space and ability and at their own pace. They have empathy, and patience and resilient and passion. We thank BBIM for continuously sending the teachers for more training and certification to enhance their Montessori teaching methodology and children skills.
We pray that BBIM will flourish as a leading Islamic Montessori in Malaysia, and InsyaAllah globally. Only Allah can reward the best of the world and Hereafter to all the teachers who are committed and loving as the children are their own.
