due to the closeness of your relationship anyway and how he’s always cared for you, he didn’t hesitate to offer to be your caregiver after you explained it to him. just the notion of having someone be your caregiver made you slip into little space then and there. looking up at him with glassy eyes ten minutes later, “daddy?”
he goes all soft noticing the change in your demeanor and he kicks into action immediately. “hey little one, is there anything i can do? do you want your stuffie?”
each time you slip into little space he understands more and more about your needs, sometimes even offering it to you before you do, if he can tell you’ve had a horrific day. “come here, little one. you can let go now, it’s okay.”
you form this trust and this incredibly close bond because like you say, you realise he is a fantastic caregiver and nothing phases him. it makes the time when you get into a relationship all the more easier!
