Sort: Pride & Prejudice
Sorted by: @iamlizontopoftheworld Elizabeth Bennet - Gryffindor (Lizzie says herself: “There is a stubbornness about me that never can bear to be frightened at the will of others. My courage always rises at every attempt to intimidate me.” She’s spunky, sharp-minded, and has plenty of nerve to show her own convictions.)
Mr. Darcy - Gryffindor (This one was difficult… Despite what it seems at first glance, Mr. Darcy actually goes great lengths to “protect” Mr. Bingley from what he believes will be a sour marriage. A bit of impulsiveness on his part. He also defied his aunt, Lady Catherine, and married Elizabeth regardless of her “upstanding reputation.”)
Mr. Bennet - Ravenclaw (He is intellectual, but he’d much rather hide in his library than deal with the trials of his daughters and wife… though, he values cleverness enough to call Lizzie his favorite.)
Mrs. Bennet - Slytherin (Repuation. To be the talk of the party. To marry her daughters to wealthy men. She does worry about her five daughters having secure futures, but her own wants trump the emotional desires of her daughters and husband.)
Jane Bennet - Hufflepuff (Kind, dutiful, reserved. But Jane also sees the world through rose-colored glasses. She looks for the best in everybody, even the shallow Bingley sisters. She was willing to put her feelings for Bingley aside just to please her mother. She serves others, but follows her heart as well.)
Charles Bingley - Hufflepuff (Good-natured and affable, it’s no wonder he and Jane hit it off almost immediately. Despite his haughty sisters and even the socially awkward Darcy, Bingley remains well-mannered and eager to please. He doesn’t hide his strong affections for Jane, even when she’s much more shy about it than he is. He stands by Darcy during Mr. Wickham’s accusations. Much like Jane, he puts aside his worry over his sister’s opinions and follows his heart.)
Mary Bennet - Ravenclaw (Some Ravenclaws lack taste and genius… For Mary’s part, with Jane being the beauty, Lizzie’s cleverness, Kitty and Lydia’s wild nature, it’s no wonder she’s left alone to try and study piano and what not to impress others. Despite being the blue stocking, she does throw out some witty points and comments when the opportunity strikes. “I shall infinitely prefer a book over a man.”)
Lydia Bennet - Gryffindor (She’s reckless. She’s untamed. You can’t reason with the precious baby of the family. She does what she wants. Period. She ran off in Brighton with Mr. Wickham, then married him without a second thought. Lydia also has no self-control. She loves to flirt with the men; her pleasures are dance and song, but also trying to take drinks while only being fifteen.)
