The door had opened, and Verity squeezed her eyes shut against the bright light from the hallway. Nothing good ever happened when the door opened, but she refused to cower. She would not be found huddled on the floor like an animal, no matter what pain it cost her to stand. Before whoever it was could reach her, she rose shakily to her feet and leaned against the back wall. Silently she stared at their approaching boots.
It took her longer than necessary to process the question. They never asked questions, not anymore. Hesitantly, she lifted her face to look at him. When she did, it became obvious that she wasn’t averting her gaze out of fear. Her eyes burned with intensity, anger, and hatred.
“Here for more testing?” she asked, her eyebrows drawing down.
Loki looks at the woman before him and tilts his head to the side “I was not going to let them do that to you anymore actually but if you are going to act that way then maybe I should just tell Thor that there is no one left in here so that he can get rid of the building with you in it.” He shakes his head and walks forward holding out the key to her cuffs and other bindings
“Now if I let your bindings go and tell you that all you have to do is go freely down that hall and out the door at the end would you do that for me? I need to check and see if there are any more people to get out of this place before we take care of it.”
