The Beginning.
Here's the thing. I don't consider myself a professional photographer. Starting a website and a blog has to be one of the more stressful things I've done in a long time. It's hard to put yourself out there, especially when you're overly self critical. If you are doubting yourself, I want to let you know, you're not alone. If you question whether you're a good photographer or not, you're not alone. If you are passionate about photography and want to be happy with your images, you're not alone.
I'm not looking for praise. Or a career. Or to sell prints. I am trying to grow as a person and as a photographer. I know there's others out there too. I want to let you know that you're not alone. I watch and read photography blogs religiously. I second guess every click I make. Here's a secret I've learned: all real artists do. While I have been photographing for 20 years, I still do not believe I have earned the right to call myself a photographer. Every time I take out my camera, I learn something new. Sometimes this is a technical skill, other times something more philosophical. I am sure I will never stop learning and growing. I’m not a photographer. And I am not a blogger. In fact it is doubtful that anyone will read this at all. I just needed a place to think some things out and maybe others will chime in with their experiences and thoughts.
