I feel like this needs to be said. Because I have seen this being thrown around as an insult for quite some time. For far too long. I, am a feminist. I am a female. I am beautiful. I am proud of my choices. I am not angry. I am not graceful. I am not for female supremacy. I am for choice. I am for equality. I am for not being called names for wearing shorts on a hot day. I am not for shaming young women for their choices. I am not for calling all men cheaters and pigs. I am not for enforcing one single lifestyle. I am a feminist. I support equality. I support choosing your life. I support strong women in this world. I believe women are strong beings, and I believe women are majestic beings. If you want to be a stay-at-home mother, or not have children at all, that should be your choice. If you want to work, or live in luxury, that should be your choice as well. If you want to dress in dresses and flowers, or flannels and sweatpants, that should be your choice. And if you want to shave your head, or have hair like Rapunzel, that should be your choice. I am a feminist. I am not angry. I am not radical. I am not out to take your rights to your children away. In fact, if the father is better fit to be a parent, have at it. I do not claim false sexual assault for regrets. I do not believe that all men are evil. I am a feminist. I am for equality. It is that simple.
