Hey Guys, I'm back. And I just got a really strong urge to do an AU thread where the Doctor meets one of Clara's other lives and she's the only daughter of an Italian noble, in maybe Venice or Florence, and her name's Chiara Oswaldo. Would any Elevens wanna play this out with me? I'd even be okay with the Cyber Planner, the Interfector, or Twelve.
So, I got bored and started this... it was meant to be cute and nothing more but fluff... but then it got sad.. and turned out to be 740 words >_>
The second sun was setting on the Eye of Orion, leaving the skies a scorched mixture of orange and red. The clouds were moving slowly, seeming to bring the night with them. The Doctor had taken Iris here after mentioning how this was one of, if not the most beautiful planet in the cosmos. The entire afternoon, the Doctor told her stories about his adventures, sticking to the happier ones. He’d just finished talking about when he met Agatha Christie when he looked over at Iris, who was obviously in her own little world.
“Iris... are you even listening?” She looked over, nodding as she smiled. “Of course… just missed the last bit, sorry. You figured out what happened, of course. My guess is the alien was the priest.” She smirked, looking back out at the last sunset, the color’s intensity fading. She saw the Doctor’s surprised expression in her peripheral vision.
“How? You? Oh you sly little fox. You definitely cheated.” Iris giggled in response, her fingers fiddling with the grass underneath her. “No, I didn’t...” She looked over to him, grinning. “…you already told me that one.” Iris kept an eye on him, sliding over so she could hold his hand. They both laughed, looking out to the valley below them, both of them comfortable with the quiet that developed between them.
The Doctor’s mind wandered, the color of the sky reminded him of Gallifrey, which dampened the mood a bit. Iris looked over to him, noticing the shift in mood. She slid a bit closer, nudging him gently with her shoulder. “What’s on your mind? Seems like you’re a million miles away over there.” The Doctor shook his head, looking back at her, forcing a smile.
“The sky here, at twilight… it looks so much like my home, Gallifrey.” He sighed, looking back out to the sky. “But I lost Gallifrey… the Time War took her away from me... in a sea of flames and fighting and rage… home is something I’ll never get back. ” Iris glanced over at him, hooking her arm into his, not sure what to say. The Doctor had mentioned the Time War once before, and she knew well enough not to bring it up. She could tell he was already upset… she could only think of one thing... making sure he wasn’t alone.
“You know… I lost my home too, in a way.” Iris snuggles up, wrapping an arm around his torso, leaning her head on his arm. “It may not have been in a war, with a huge battle where everyone lost, but… it happened.” She sighed, shifting her eyes upward, the Doctor still looking out towards the sky, his expression terribly sad. “…and there were flames…. lots and lots of flames.”
Iris swallowed hard, not sure if she could continue. She’d never mentioned this to anyone, not even Elliot… she wasn’t sure she could. She felt the Doctor shift a bit, his grey glassy eyes meeting hers, tiny sparks of anger behind the tears. “…you’ve never mentioned that.” He muttered, reaching an arm around Iris, holding her like she was holding him.
“We should just stay here, and stop running from the Daleks... maybe they won’t find us this time” Iris sighed, her voice almost cracking. She wanted to tell him everything, just to get it off her chest. But there was an emotional road block there… and it just wasn’t going to happen. Not yet.
“We can stay for a little while longer. They’ll find us soon enough…” The Doctor sighed, squeezing Iris tight. “…they always do.” Iris hid her face against his shoulder, her arm losing its grip on his side. She sighed, looking down, whispering. “I don’t want to run anymore… I don’t want to hide... I’m scared. Goodness only knows what the Daleks will do with me…” Iris was run down and tired, and now, she couldn’t help but cry.
The Doctor just let her cry, bringing his other arm around her. He hummed ancient lullabies, his fingers playing with her hair. As much as it pained him to see her like this, it was one of those times where he could be a father again. Iris was the closest thing he had to a best friend these days, and he wanted to protect her. And he promised himself he would. Iris was different, and he wasn’t going to let her go… no matter what.
In Which The Doctor is Exponentially Missed || iamtheoncommingstorm
The hollow shriek of silence rang out, quiet as space's infinite vacuum and loud as trampling elephants. Nothing dared even whisper, not even the TARDIS itself. It was a simple room that she laid in, decorated only by a single chest for holding possessions and a bed, if it even deserved such a title. In reality, the sleeping unit took on more of a hammock shape, being anchored to the cream coloured walls on either end and made of lovingly crafted ticking cloth. Fox had no need nor desire for a lamp, not then. For at that moment, only the numb embrace of darkness gave her comfort. It had been at least seven days since the immortal had given the slightest movement from her stiff curl on the hammock, but she had lost exact count. All the while, not an ounce of sleep had graced her. The lonely ache acted like an unbreakable wall against the sweet relief of dreams.

It had been a long while since Arfle had spoke with the Doctor. She had been thinking about the time traveling man that day, and she finally gave in to try and talk to him.
She pulled out her laptop--her very first one, before she had started playing Sburb--and typed out the message.
"Adventure?"
She smiled to herself, sending the message to particular mad man in a bow tie.

Yeah, pretty much~
I don't know, I really have no right to tell people how to react to things, it's their emotions and they have a right to voice them I just wish there was less in the tags but it's whatever..

//Im not trying to be rude...but are we talking about John Barrowman not being there? He confirmed it on his twitter page.
No, I've been seeing things in the tags quite often about David and Billie and Chris and people getting excited and then upset when certain sources confirm and deny within days and just skjhfjsdfas
No, obviously if it comes from the horse's mouth, it's good to believe it but other than that people just need to calm down, you know? No matter what, the Anniversary special will be something phenomenal.
