7. Kissing headcanon
Ohhh, so many choices here
There was definitely an adrenaline-filled kiss at some point during the final battle, but Janai thought they were going to pretend it didn’t happen.
Amaya initiated their first kiss after that and still initiates most of their kisses
Amaya tends to make eye contact before she kisses Janai because it makes Janai get flustered and blush. It usually starts with Amaya’s hand on Janai’s waist or her cheek.
Janai sometimes gets growly over that teasing and lunges in to kiss Amaya.
One of Janai’s favorite kisses with Amaya starts with their foreheads resting together before Amaya touches her chin and draws her into a kiss. Those are usually slow and very feelsy kisses, and they make Janai forget everything else.
Despite Janai being taller than Amaya, Amaya likes to have Janai in her lap facing her so she can pull her down into kisses
They both tend to kiss each others’ hands often:
Amaya will do the little courtly kiss on the back of Janai’s knuckles and squeeze her hand or rub her cheek against the back of it.
Janai will kiss Amaya’s palm and fingers, especially the burn scars.
She’s also learned that Amaya’s hands are very sensitive and kissing them certain ways will get Amaya VERY wound up.
Janai’s hands almost always find their way into Amaya’s hair when they’re kissing. She loves how it feels, and Amaya tends to make this little half-voiced growl.
Janai absolutely loves Amaya kissing the back of her neck and thinks this should happen as often as possible.
Amaya often kisses the back of her neck when they’re curled up to sleep because keeping her head lower means she doesn’t get impaled by Janai’s horns. Also she loves Janai’s neck. A lot.
And I will just leave you with this final thought: Sparring and pinning each other to a wall to steal a playful kiss at weapon point.
