lol I JUST answered one for her, but I don’t mind babbling about Amaya more. AT ALL

So since I just answered about Amaya, I’m gonna tell you how much MORE I fell in love with her in S3. She is now LORD MERCY THIS WOMAN MAKES MY BRAIN CEASE TO WORK

I feel like we got to see some different sides of Amaya in S3, and I am LIVING for that. Like her picking up and twirling Gren? Yes please, more of that. Honestly, more being tender and cute with Gren in general. But then being the big damn hero too.

I legit sat there with my hands over my mouth for the entire scene with her and Janai fighting at the Breach, and they faked me out good because I thought she was dead for half a second, and I was ready to riot. OH MY GOD DO NOT KILL MY WIFE

But then they gave her that moment. That choice with Janai, and I was just in tears. 

Her snarkiness in the dungeon, that little look at Kazi after she told Janai where to shove her sword. (”Translate THAT”)

And they terrified me again with her judgment. HAD THEY BLINDED HER?? ALONE AND IN XADIA?

But no, she’s fine, and we get her in Ep 7 with probably my favorite Amaya moment ever where she tackles Janai, and we get to see how much she is willing to sacrifice (HER HANDS) to keep Janai from destroying herself. And then we see her heart again. Her empathy. 

I feel like Amaya’s arc in S3 was very much about how there is strength in vulnerability, and that just fills my heart.

And then after ALL that, we get cocky flirty Amaya which is the hottest thing ever, and she has my devotion UNTIL THE END OF TIME

I mean, was there really any question though? I have been in love with Amaya since the first moment she showed up onscreen and tossed her helmet to Gren. 

When I realized she used ASL, I was blown away because that’s such a rare piece of representation, and I love that they have integrated her deafness as part of her character without making it the only thing Amaya is about.

Just in terms of appearance, I love her design. Her face is stunning, and I love her short shaggy hair. It suits her really well (and I really don’t want her to grow it out). They’ve also done an amazing job with expressions on Amaya’s face, and that’s one of the things that completely draws me to her.

In my head though, she’s a lot broader and more muscly just because of the amount of armor she wears and the fact that she carries a shield that is clearly massive and heavy like it’s nbd. Amaya is a buff goddess with thick legs, and no one can convince me otherwise.

Beyond that, she funny and full of heart. I was honestly worried at the very beginning that they would take the character somewhere really dark. (I mean, she did almost decapitate Rayla!) But then they had her confrontation with Viren, and her beautiful, iconic scene at Sarai’s memorial, that was it for me. I was completely in love. 

So yeah, LORD MERCY for sure, and if there was a category BEYOND that, she’d be there! I LOVE HER SO MUCH AND SHE IS SO STUNNING!

Okay, so I really really love Kazi. And the more I think about Kazi, the more I just can’t deal with how amazing they are.

When we first met Kazi, I thought they were adorable and funny. Who doesn’t love a cute non-binary linguistic nerd??? And then they make that “finguistics” joke. TO A CRANKY JANAI. 

And then they have these cute little moments, like where they jump because they stood too close to the fire and got their butt burned.

Then their character began to really emerge. They fumbled over Amaya deliberately giving them things they wouldn’t want to say to Janai. They looked horrified though at Khessa’s treatment of Amaya, and when we see them with Amaya next, it’s pretty clear that they’re getting along well.

I think Kazi is an absolute darling who probably is more fierce than skilled (see: trying to run after Janai and Amaya to get to Viren)

Also they’ve got the most beautiful character design. Their hair? Their HAIR? And glasses??

Yeah, I think Kazi is absolutely gorgeous at this point and well on the way to becoming LORD MERCY for me. (And is totally the type of person I would love to date IRL)

Oooo, nonny, she’s a good one to ask about.

Janai started off as equal parts terrifying and gorgeous for me when she showed up at first. I got chills during her first couple of appearances, and when she mirrored Amaya’s “Bring it” gesture, I started falling hard for her.

And now that we’re done with S3, she is FIRMLY in the LORD MERCY category because she is a beautiful prickly goddess with a soft underbelly, and that’s a major weakness of mine. 

Also, just everything about her, the way she moves, her smile, the cute little blushes ...yeah, I got it bad for Janai

He creeps me out. He creeps me out so so so bad, and then he went and did the spit thing in Viren’s eye and I just CAN’T

And his creepy thing with Khessa, trapping her against him

I mean, I get the attraction? He’s beautiful and charismatic, but everything about him makes my skin crawl. That feeling is made worse because he is so pretty.

So, yeah, he’s crushingly hot in appearance, but I cannot deal with him or any ships involving him. Thinking about him in a sexual context grosses me out, so this is really beyond Not My Type to actively revolted by him.

Runaan (hottie scale) :D

I weirdly had to think about this one a bit. In the beginning, I thought Runaan was stunning and charismatic, but the way he treated Rayla really bothered me (and let’s be real, it still does)

I mean, if we went purely on appearance, I think it’d be LORD MERCY because that is one gorgeous man with the long white hair and the turquoise eyes, but we all know hotness for me involves personality and behavior.

So once we saw him being soft and sweet with Ethari and my head started spinning out headcanons for him, I really warmed up to Runaan. Even his behavior at the beginning reads a lot differently if you think of him as a parent rather than a commander.

And there’s this moment when Rayla comes back from “killing” Marcos and she’s got the berry juice on her blades that looks convincingly like blood. Runaan looks at this, and there’s a flash of ...something. Worry. Horror. Upset. There is a moment of possibly regret for the path that he’s set Rayla on.

Anyway, this is a long way to go to say that he’s absolutely gorgeous, and I’m looking forward to him being freed from the coin and getting a redemption arc.

Okay, so Gren is my darling soft boy who I love with my entire heart. He tries so hard. With him, it’s not about hotness. He’s cute with his floppy red hair and his freckles and his blue eyes, but it’s so much more than that. 

I spend most of the time he’s on-screen wanting to cuddle him because he seems like he’d be nice to cuddle.

I have really really passionate feelings about Gren, but they don’t really fall on a hot spectrum. He’s fiercely loyal to Amaya and tries so hard to do his best. He wants to be positive, but he has seen his share of pain and he’s been with Amaya through hers. There’s so much good in this character, and I want to see more time with him and Amaya. I actually want to see more of him and Amaya one-on-one so we can get a better view of their relationship. 

Yeah so he’s basically adorable in my book, and I will defend him with my LIFE (and Amaya spinning him around is EVERYTHING)

She’s stunning, honestly. Her design is beautiful, and I love her armor (And we’re back to the voice thing with her too. Love her voice)

We don’t get to know her that much, but from what we can see, she’s kind of awful. (That pet remark to Janai after the judgment was so terrible.)

But on a purely physical level, oh yeah, Khessa is gorgeous
