 Bump into my muse

Seiichirou’s step is brisk on his way to library. There are matters in regards to work he wishes to research. Early in the day and yet there’s a real rush hour in the streets of the Archimedes Ward. Among the steps and turns he has to take there’s no surprise when someone bumps into his back.

He has to struggle to keep his balance before he can turn around.

“ If it’s busy street you need to be careful with how you walk--- “

He stops, a little surprised of the appearance of the small figure of colourful hair and more surprisingly a ...ball of an eye that seems attached to her. What exactly is that--- 

Seiichirou mentally shakes his head. Not the time.

“ Are you alright? “

💛 💜 ❤️ || by all regards, she should have been too INTELLIGENT for this. dabbling in foreign magics should have been an unthinkable thing, particularly at the behest of faefolk. once could mistake a newly arrived satori to be so FOOLISH, but not a seasoned citizen. they're far more intelligent than the fairies of gensokyo, she has warned and been warned herself. yet, she finds herself called to place one of those masks upon the bridge of her nose and let it take her. and perhaps, that was her FIRST mistake, to think that she could use such magic to her ADVANTAGE.

❝koishi, i'm glad we're able to enjoy this TOGETHER,❞ she says, rather genuine despite the STRANGENESS of it all. conscious gaze lowers to her dormant third eye, and she wonders if koishi often did the same when she closed hers. eyes lift, to take instead the open ceiling, seemingly STRETCHING a mile high. she feels so small … even smaller than usual. ❝i … would you like to dance with me? i think i could use a DISTRACTION such as that.❞

While she may have been back in the same city, Ruby had figured out by now that she was assigned different housing every time she woke up here again. Which meant adjusting to new roommates every time she woke up by that pit, too. Honestly, she was used to the idea of roommates as a whole, having lived with the other gems in the Crystal Temple for such a long time... but living with complete strangers was a whole different deal.

Still, as she unlocked the door to her new home and walked inside, she tried to put on a smile and overall brave face. She wanted to make a good first impression with whoever she’d be sharing her new home and likely base of operations with, after all.

...even if that person turned out to have a weird, somewhat creepy, third eye attached to them with floating arteries.

Hm.

“Uh... hey! I’m Ruby! Is... is that eye always shut?” That last part had just been kinda blurted out, before Ruby could think over the repercussions that such a question might have. Whoops.

Trucy is nearly spinning in a circle as she tries to look over her shoulder at her wings. They’re small, purple, bird-like wings with an iridescent sheen, not that she can easily see that. Hence the spinning. Someone please take a photo for her before she gets dizzy from this. 

“They can give us wings?!” This is the best day of her life. She finally fits the bird theme of her family.

He’s situated himself in a nook in the university’s library, knees close to his chest and a thick volume of Spirale history resting on his legs. This research was long overdue, and he’s settled himself in to spend a long time at the library. Leon was surprised how much he missed reading; it’d been so long since he had time to enjoy in one of his older past times, what with his Champion duties and all, and it was nice to return to just thinking instead of strategizing. It was fun to think on the fly like he’d have to in battles, but to just sit alone with his thoughts? That was refreshing.

Leon’s so engrossed in his book that he doesn’t notice someone come near him until they’re standing at his feet. He blinks a few times before tilting his head up, though not super far back; even sitting down, he’s still rather tall. “Oh, didja wanna grab one of the books above me ‘ere? Sorry ‘bout that... want me to get it for ya?”
