Model United Nations, also known as MUN, is an academic simulation in which students find themselves in the shoes of international ambassadors who represent various countries of the world in different UN organs and specialized agencies. It is an extracurricular activity which takes place at MUN conferences, usually organized by high schools or college MUN clubs. The participants, also regarded as ‘Munners,’ have the opportunity to draft resolutions and find solutions to global issues. 

The aim of the United Nations is to prevent conflicts and promote international peace and cooperation. It is a forum that allows representatives of various countries to let their stance on various issues be known and eventually arrive at a common resolution after several discussions.
