❣️I think my preference on how I want to spend our holiday has changed. Just happy staying in our neighbourhood & doing nothing. Content with eating at home, savouring my parents’ home-cooked meals. Just happy in the company of our families and making up for time that was lost the past three years that we didn’t get to go home. In the past, the first few days would already be spent seeing friends and visiting salons for some self-care. But this time, all we’ve done were errands and fixing our house - and I’m loving it. Golden Hour 🌅. Second week of restricted outings due to covid-19. In case you’re wondering, Australia is not in total lockdown but we have a social distancing law and several restrictions that come with it, effective until 30th June. I’m still adjusting to staying at home. Working from home and chatting with loved ones online and over the phone helps a lot. This is the new normal and it may be awhile. Nothing’s changed though with how I deal with a challenge like this - with gratefulness and faith. With the onset of cold, we savour the downtime that Winter season brings. Weekends when we can enjoy an early morning walk at the park for sunlight and fresh air, a quick stop at the shop for sustence and going back in to spend the rest of the day home, in quiet or in bed. These moments are precious and necessary.
