IC Cue: “Grand (re)Opening.” Bishop & Pawn is opening its doors again for business today! Fully remodeled, stop on down to see what deals might appeal to you. Also, if you have a job at B&P, you can return to your shifts.
This is our second IC Cue, or in-character cues; they’re designed to give depth to the world your character is living in and information on their day-to-day to help inspire your muse and give something to talk about! Cues are meant to be background noise to the major plotlines we have going—the way you might hear a story on the news.
CUE: “Hey, Reapers—that was fucked up, right?” Word of the Reaper attacks has spread like wildfire throughout the clans and communities. Anyone in or around the major villages would hear the tales: they hit everyone, and they hit hard. It’s been said that Reapers were seen even in Flougeda, which has had less Reaper attacks over the years than the others due to their elusive nature and propensity toward ship living. Gossip is flying—do you know anyone who was hurt? Do you think it was planned? Who might be behind it? Does the Mountain really control them—or is this the fault of another clan?

It seems like the weather is trying to make up for its most recent tantrum by going from one extreme to another. Instead of heavy thunderstorms, Senoia's now plagued with a heat wave, ushering in what may be the summer’s hottest days. It is on the rise but be aware – these numbers could soar to 105° by Thursday, Friday, Saturday and well into early next week. With the lowest temperatures around 98°F and the highest breaking 105°F, Senoia isn't only hot, it's humid and sticky.

Senoia police investigators responding to an incident involving debit card information stolen from several Senoia victims arrested a Stone Mountain man who admitted using stolen information from multiple victims to open debit and credit card accounts.
/Ask Challenge! Fears.
Every now and then, we’ll post /Ask Challenges from the main, the way we issue Self-Para Challenges. The idea is, as always, to get you more in your character’s head, create headcanons, flesh them out, explore them, etc, in new and fun ways. NO metagaming allowed; please do not insinuate in an /ask something that spoils a plot or that wouldn’t be known.
FOR THE NIGHT OF MARCH 29th, we will be doing the theme of “Fears.”
How do you play?
If you wish to participate, turn on the Anon option for your /ask box.
Go to another character’s /ask and leave an question for their character.
That player will then respond as the character would about the question.
For every /ask you get, go leave a question in another person’s /ask.
The character that received the /ask would then reply either way, or mysteriously, or however the character would respond. We want to delve into their fears tonight. Do they have any phobias? Any childhood fears? Any fears about the future? Have fun!
Prompt 11: Self Para: Letters
It’s that time again! Self-Para Challenge Sundays Fridays. We’ll be issuing self-para challenges every now and then when we remember to. Our bad. As usual, this isn’t mandatory. It’s just a tool to help you explore your characters.
The theme you will focus on this time is “letters.” What does this mean? Questions to explore:
Option 1: DEAD LETTER. A para involving a letter to someone in your character's past, one that the recipient never received (either because it was never sent, or because the mail screwed up; does your character know it wasn't received, or do they feel ignored?). Flashback style.
Option 2: RED LETTER. A para involving writing a letter to someone in-game, in current-day timeframe. Who do they write to and why? What is so important that it must be hand-written? Do they send the letter after they write it? Do they burn it?
Option 3: HEAD LETTER. A para not actually about communication to another, but instead about when your character first learned to communicate: go back to grade school, or whenever they first learned to write. What was that like for them? Was learning easy? Were letters confusing?
PLEASE remember to mark your self-para with whatever trigger warnings might be necessary. Cheers!
/ASK CHALLENGE! HISTORIES.
FOR THE NIGHT OF MARCH 3rd, we will be doing the theme of “Histories.”
We want to delve into their histories tonight. What was their least favourite subject in school? Did they play any sports? Who was their childhood best friend? First kiss? Most embarrassing moment? Have fun!
/Ask Challenge! Headcanons.
The idea is, as always, to get you more in your character’s head, create headcanons, flesh them out, explore them, etc, in new and fun ways. NO metagaming allowed; please do not insinuate in an /ask something that spoils a plot or that wouldn’t be known.
FOR THE NIGHT OF NOVEMBER 23rd, we will be doing the theme of “Headcanons.”
The idea this week is to tell what headcanons you have for other peoples’ chaarcters. For example, I just have this feeling that Grace is always late, even if it’s just 5 minutes late, I feel like my headcanon for her would be that it’s just impossible for her to get anywhere on time. So, I might send to Grace’s /ask, “Is there a reason you’re always late?” and let her confirm or deny my headcanon for her. Have fun!
