Thank you all for 4 amazing months with an amazing group of writers. Unfortunately, at this time, Mak and May have decided to close KONGEDA. We're tired of repping a show neither of us can watch anymore. We felt stifled by their plot holes and worldbuilding issues, not to mention the bad cred the show rightfully deserves. We don't want to support it. We deeply value your understanding on this and thank you for it. If you want to continue playing in the 100 verse, we recommend @the100xrp which has been rocking for over a month now, or @skykrurp which is a skeleton game not yet open. We are also allowing any current players to keep their current roles and use them as indies or 1x1 accounts if they wish to continue plots together, but the main and untaken characters are closed. All players are super welcome to keep in touch with us and we love you for coming on this rollercoaster with us this season. Long live Lexa, Lincoln, and everyone else we loved whom we lost to bad writing. May we meet again.

Episode 13 gave us some more information for Floukru!

One of their holdings is a massive oil rig.

They flag one another by using green signal fires; something that looks like pine needles turns the fire green.

They have access to scuba gear to travel underwater.

Do people know that the reapers are controlled by mount weather?

The Sky People have no idea what Reapers are or anything about them. The grounders “know” that the Reapers come from Mount Weather because the raiding parties were tracked back there. However, when things get tough, it’s easy to blame the ‘boogeymen’ on whomever your enemy is... isn’t it?

Grounder Literacy

So, recent episode developments have both asked more questions as well as postulated possible answers around grounders and literacy. Namely, we see that Titus is literate, since he can read Becca’s journal.

Per canon, grounders are illiterate, meaning they can’t read nor write. Which means that in order to have names based on surroundings, someone had to be able to read them. Titus being able to read suggests to me that perhaps the priestesses are literate, as is the Heda kom Jus. This would enable local priestesses to name the children, solving that plot hole.

Therefore, here’s an easy guide to who knows what, in our game:

Can read and speak gonasleng: Priestesses (tattooers, scarrers).

Can speak gonasleng: Warriors (incl. Hedas, Bakas).

Everyone else, including the above, speaks trigedasleng. There may be a few people cleared by Admins for some level of gonasleng (English) who aren’t warriors, but are linked to them, such as Kira, Rush, and Tribeca. Keep in mind that gonasleng is the language of the enemy, of the Mounan, so it would not be something people would really want to learn or consider appropriate to speak.

As always, please make sure you’re using the italics to denote when you are speaking in trigedasleng and the regular text for gonasleng (English). This is useful for plot points and so you know who can and can’t understand you—like when you want to keep secrets or talk over someone’s head. Cheers!

Defining Moments:

Faye came from a family of farmers, people who provided food for their village. Much more of a risk taker as a child than she could ever dream of being now, Faye was 8 when she snuck a glimpse of the tattooing of one of Trikru’s warriors. Up until that point, Faye had served her kru as a farmer, but upon seeing the ceremony, instantly became infatuated. To be a priestesses instead of a farmer seemed to be a much better service to her kru. Her decision was made that day, stealing glances from above a rafter. She was close to her family, but she had an intense desire to contribute to the legacy of her people. Faye regrets hurting her family, but knows that what she is doing is for a bigger purpose and is her calling.

Faye left her sibling Reed, with whom she was close, when she was 10 to go study in Polis in the tower with other soon-to-be priestesses. For 3 years she was there, learning the lore and meeting the people who would become her new family, the ley lines between clans. When she came back, she didn’t pursue a reconnection with Reed. The gap that formed over the 3 year period of her stay in Polis, Faye let fester. She did not want to hurt Reed and felt that since she adopted a new family in the other priestesses, that her being close to them would in some way do that. For a brief time, around her mid- to late-teens, she visited her best friend Lina in Sankru. Faye had hoped that it would be a much needed stress reliever from the day to day demands of her apprenticeship in Trikru.

On her way home, however, what the young woman was met with instead, was a raid between her and Trikru. Faye was injured, not badly, but enough to scare her. She had never liked leaving the safety of home, of Trikru - and was only really ever prompted to do so by her greater desire of contributing to the legacy of her people. Since then, Faye only ever leaves Trikru when duty calls, because even though she does fear what waits outside the safety of Trikru, her loyalty to her work and her people’s legacy is far greater. Faye was proudly Initiated at 21 and has been selecting warriors for valour ever since. However, she does watch out for Reed from a distance, keeping tabs through others to make sure all was well. Faye constantly misses Reed, but believes what she is doing is right.

Defining Moments:

Juno was born to a warrior father and a trader for a mother, 'trader’ often being the word used to soften how they came by what they offered at the trading post: piracy. Juno had always loved the sea, even from a young age, but while he enjoyed riding the waves and having ocean spray in his face, it was his little brother Palm that took to it most. The younger boy had sea legs before he could rightfully run and took after their mother, which gave Juno the space to do what he really loved to do: fight. He trained with his father before becoming the Seken of a woman he considered almost like an aunt, the Baka, at 12. She was a close family friend, and Juno was not only well looked after but also trained to be fierce and loyal.

He fought valiantly by the Baka’s side until he was 16 and Azkru killed his mentor in battle. They’d vaguely won the fight, if anyone could have been said to win, but his mentor was mortally wounded, and Juno carried her home as she slowly lost her life. His father also died in that battle, but he died a warrior’s death, and Juno had been proud. For the next two years, Juno was an incredibly loyal warrior for Heda Losna, someone he not only come to respect but to love deeply, even before he became her Baka. He was more than willing to give his life for her if the need arose, and it seemed many times that he might’ve if he weren’t such a fierce fighter. His patriotism and fondness for pirates led Juno to vouch for Delphi, someone connected to his family, when the war had been raging.

During the war, Losna’s ship was attacked at sea and her body was never recovered. After her death, Juno was devastated. Of course he was immediately loyal to the new Heda, Cora, but he was never quite as happy again. Cora had far fewer years’ leadership experience than Losna, but she was bright and capable, and her father had a good head on his shoulders. Cora had somehow achieved a sort of peace with Azgeda, which he could respect, but Juno still desperately seeks some sort of vengeance for Flougeda’s fallen. If nothing else, he’s vowed two things over the past few years: to never let any harm come to his Heda, and to never again allow himself to feel such extreme loss.
