Seth was next to his brother waiting for their mentor for the work study. He knew how hard this might be. He heard how tough the owner of the Birds of Prey agency could be. He was nervous as is and the wait felt like torture.

Issac, on the other hand, was pretty calm. He chose this agency because it was kind of small. He knew the stories, but didn't care. His quirk might be a simple speed quirk, but that was fine with him.

Seth had completely forgotten what he’d left his room to do, becoming instantly distracted by the sight of Zoran working out. Wearing only an old band hoodie and his boxers, Seth leaned against the door frame, a cigarette forgotten in one hand, head cocked to the side as he watched Zoran appreciatively.

‘No! Nope! Of course not!’ Seth said hurriedly, thinking he detected an undertone of judgement in her response. Well, he was used to being judged, but usually the person judging him was someone he knew well and he could brush it off. The need to please a stranger was stupid, and yet overwhelming.

A guilty smile spread across his lips as he added, ‘I suppose that means you don’t have a lighter then?’

Seth used some of the nearby shadows to form a shield in front of her as the villian in front of them shot out two more spikes. "You say that but this bastard is hell bent on killing someone." Seth had on a mask to keep his identity a secret. After all, if it was found out he did this stuff from time to time he'd be kicked out of the hero course.

"If one of us can distract him than the other can get him." He felt like something about this girl was familiar, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. "But if I catch him he's not going to be walking away. Assholes like him don't deserve the quirks they're given."

For months howling had been heard close by and now it was like the howling was right outside of town, and a family of three had just moved in when the howling got closer. Seth was the one who did most of the shopping, but in the few weeks his family had lived there everyone had almost stopped selling to him. So, he decided to see someone he had not had much interaction with. "Um, excuse me, but could you help me? I need to purchase some food for me, my brother, and my mother but it seems no one will sell to me. Or at least no one I know. So, could you tell me of some good hunting grounds around here?"

Seth sighed and shook his head. "No point in struggling. And if you had a weapon you can forget it. Everything you had was confiscated I'm sure." He couldn't see anything either, but he had a sort of plan. "Whoever took us kept us alive for a reason. We find out why, get free, and then get out of here."

Seth sighed waiting for a certain girl who worked with the police. One who always wore gloves. He had been able to get Chiaki calm enough that he felt comfortable leaving her side. And now he could do his own digging. And through that he found out who Kyoko was. Kyoko Kirigiri. Her father either is or was the headmaster of Hopes Peak. He figured she'd have more access to everything than he did. Or at least be able to help him.

As soon as he saw he walked up to her his face as blank as he could manage. "Kyoko Kirigiri. Daughter of Jin Kirigiri. I have a few questions I want to ask you away from prying eyes."

Seth and Issac had been doing what they usually did which was mess around and break equipment that Storm Troopers needed. Usually ignoring their warning before running off into a crowd. But today had been different. Issac had used his force abilities and one of the troopers noticed and chased them down. Seth was sure that someone else had seen them, but would anyone really be brave enough to stick their necks out for a couple of orphans?

Issac was holding a small pipe for a weapon while Seth hid behind whatever he could projecting a weak barrier around him. Their powers had awaken differently. For Seth it was a need to protect his brother, and for Issac it was a need to strike those who sought to harm others. “You touch us and I can’t guarantee I’ll hold back!” Issac was afraid of what was going to happen, but he couldn’t let that stop him. He had to do what he could to make sure the Empire never had him and his brother.
