Oh great, where was he now?
He had been searching for the Master Emerald, hopping from strange place to strange place. but this must have been the strangest place he'd been to in a while. In that… it was so peaceful. It was tranquil. A forest glade with such tranquility in the air, that he just had to take a moment to stand there and appreciate it.
It was so odd to him to be taken off-guard, but he'd been in an almost meditative state when the gentle noise of something behind him had him suddenly flinching in surprise, turning his head quickly to be stunned to see the—well, surprisingly stunning creature behind him.
For a moment, he only stared, locking eyes with her in silent shock as he processed the moment. But, strangely (very strange for someone who had been used to fighting for so long), he felt at ease in the other's presence. Something about the gentleness of her eyes had his tense posture slackening; and he simply asked:
"Hello young one" The mythical beast cooed in a melodious yet soft voice. It was not often she came across something completely unknown to her, as old as she is, but this? This small, bright red creature was completely foreign to her.
"I am one of the Unicorns of this wood. Who are you?" She parroted the question back to him. The sense of him, made her not expect him to know her or her name; yet also didnt expect him to be bound to the rules of men regarding her.
He had a sort of magic of his own, that much was clear to her unfooled eyes, however it was not the same. He was not a brother of hers in magic yet she felt drawn to this obviously (to her) young creature.
The Unicorn approached Knuckles, unafraid, to give him a proper little sniff. Gently nudging her velveteen muzzle against the Echidna's forehead.
"You do not smell like a creature from my same magic, little one. Where are you from?"
