Icarus didnt know how he managed to get tickets to the concert, let alone how he managed to push his way to the front. He had taken off work, was ignoring his final project, just to be here and see his celebrity crush in person.

Icarus was standing behind the counter of the dinner, half working on his homework and half resisting the urge to check his phone. He knew he was being ridiculous, he and Apollo had only really had that one day at the hotel before the idol had to leave the country. They had called and texted but would the idol even want to come back here? He said he would but what if he had found some new starry eyed fan that wasnt so weird?
He sighed and pushed the phone away from him, it was already face down but the temptation was still there. Apollo was supposed to be back today, he had said he would call. But so far nothing and Icarus was panicing.

Icarus walked straight into Apollos office and grabbed his husband. "Youre coming home right now." It wasnt often he went into the godly heat, he wasnt sure if it had to do with being born human or not, but he was and he needed Apollo in their bed.
Now.

Icarus clutched as his stomach, blood seeking between his fingers as he stumbled through Apollos gardens. He had to get home, he had to get to his husband. There he would be safe. He tripped and fell sprawling to the ground, crying out in pain as he hit. He wasnt going to make it.

Icarus collapsed onto the couch next to Apollo, the scent of the forge still clinging to him. "I need a vacation." He turned to look at his husband. "...and a few other things."

“Apollo, my love, can we talk?”

Icarus leaned against his son’s door, just watching him for a moment. Sometimes he couldn’t believe that Alec was his kid, he was so smart, so kind, so caring, in a way that Icarus had never been. He felt like a failure of a father, he kept himself away from his son, convinced that everyone he loved got hurt somehow. And maybe if he loved Alec but kept his distance then Alec would be spared. He hadn’t been and now…now his son was distant from him. “Hey kiddo. Got a minute.”

It wasn't often that Icarus went out at night.
Seeing all those people, happy and in love(or at least lust), just reminded him of all the things he had lost. Of a smiling god who promised him the world and then let him crash into the waves.
But then again, tonight was supposed to be a special day. His birthday. And he was informed by a few customers that he should go out for a drink and a dance. To live a little out of his small forge.
"How does anyone think in here?" He resisted the urge to cover his ears, leaning across the bar to try and order a beer.
