The modern world posed a few obstacles for him. He looked at the seagulls fly over the sea with a hint of jealousy. They hadn't changed; still mocking him with each graceful beat of their wings against the cool, salty air. His eyes scanned the beach front, brown irises watching the other mortals from the tales of old play. The hot sun bore down on them. It made him miss Helios. Gods know where he was now, probably living with the other titans.

He was not sure what he was doing but when he woke up instead of going to relieve Wren in the cockpit, he sat on the edge of the bunk he shared with Rey and just looked at her as she slept. She was lovely. Ben could not help but be captivated. It was true what his Uncle said once, the most beautiful of flowers bloom in the most harshest of environments. He watched as she slept, gently caressing her cheek.
