That Aside, Thinking Of Doing A Livestream In A Little Bit After I Take A Shower; Gonna Do Some Digital Painting And Some Drinking. Message Me If You're Interested!
Sweet Candy Coated Jesus
I haven't cut the video into parts yet because after all the editing, it has to render before I can export it in sections.
It's been rendering for two hours.
AFTER cutting out the dead zones and speeding it up to FIVE TIMES the real speed, the footage is 48 minutes long, lol.
So yeah, I'm gonna end up with 5-7 parts instead of 3-4. YUP.
This Is Really Weird, And Kinda Cool
So on IronwingedIcarus, I have two videos called "Mountains 1" and "Mountains 2" because I don't really have a title for the piece featured in those videos.
Fun fact: That's my first ever digital painting
Another fun fact: I'm still working on it, and will be putting up probably another 3-4 parts of the video up today, as I've finally gotten off my butt and started editing the recordings.
The thing that's weird about this is that I've recorded nearly every second I've spent working on this thing, and I've learned a LOT of things just by tooling around and painting/repainting it over and over and over. Probably 90% of what I know is a combination of just watching youtube videos and the little things I've noticed/put together while working on this piece, and you can literally watch in the video as I learn to shade and shape stone and how to texture the piece (though I'm still very much working on both).
It's kind of weird to be able to just watch a video and go "Oh, you can see me paint over this section like 4 times here because I'd noticed the lighting looks really good if you purposefully muddy the lighting just a little bit and then go over it with higher contrast colors." and later on in another part say "You can see me trying to texture it using different brushes and brush spacing here, and then finally settling on a combination of the two in combination with the size of the brush" And then of course it's me, so there's one part where it's very obviously "I found some cloud brushes and was playing with them and then just sorta said 'Oooh, that's kinda cool.' " Then there's the fact that there's still almost an hour of footage AFTER I've cut out all the useless parts (me surfing tumblr and doing other silly things) and sped the footage up to 500% normal speed, and that's not even including the first two parts I've already uploaded!
