the first time i personally remember being able to contact others is when me (or the former host.. not sure honestly) and jo, as well as another member who hasn't been active in a long time called sally were able to talk. this is probably because at the times we were in contact were when the host was lonely and had nobody else. we would even talk to other people about hearing voices and things but we called them friends.

while this was occurring, and sometimes when i wasn't able to contact them, i would sometimes tell people my name was jo and write that name on papers or introduce myself that way. people just kind of accepted that i was both me and jo, although more of us were inside and more probably fronted (as a kid we were not that distinct, and i mostly differentiated between myself and "other". jo was special since she was one i could talk to and more like a mother figure, but technically i named her and she had no real attachment to it from the beginning.) so we had jo who fronted, and probably others who I didn't know since we dissociated. and me/old host, sometimes.

this old orbiting cluster was probably around 5th-10th grade or age 8-15, but around 14/15 it started switching to the more recent group of fronters that included mac. jo is not a very active fronter any more and im not sure where k (placeholder for the possible old host) is at all. sally exists but is dormant, i believe.
