--- she hadn’t meant for him to see her , keeping her distance was hard , but it was the only way she knew not to hurt him any further . especially with the darnkess now flowing through her veins ... it would only cause him more pain , more stress , and all she wanted was for him to find a way to be happy .
--- but here they are , face to face now in the dark woods of beacon hills . tattered clothes hang from frail frame - the same clothes she’d been buried in , covered in dust and numerous holes from living in hiding for the few weeks she’d been back . unsure what to say , gaze focused on him , on how unhealthy he looks even though he should be fine with the healing powers he got from the bite . maybe it’s what she sees in his eyes , the look as if he’s seen a ghost - because he has . there’s an ache to move closer , to comfort him and hold him for as long as they both need , but she holds back , staying still in her spot as the wind blows through her matted hair .
