Winter was immediately suspicious, not just because Weiss was crying, but because of how she was behaving. Something was definitely wrong. “Weiss you don’t need to be so formal with me.” Yes she was in her uniform, as usual, but Weiss was still her little sister. “Father wished to speak to General Ironwood, and he asked me to come along.” He hadn’t said as much but she thought he’d asked her along because he needed the moral support.

Ren had been surprised to hear that she wanted to bake something with him, but he was also always happy to teach someone else how to do what he loved so much. “Nora loves it when I make pancakes.” He said as he rolled out a different portion of dough so he didn’t get in Weiss’ way. His sleeves were rolled up, his hair pulled back into a ponytail. When he wasn’t fighting Grimm, this was his domain. “But I rarely ever cook with her because she’s always eating the ingredients.” His tone was fond.

“I wouldn’t be hitting you with them if you’d actually stop snoring.” She glowered at the other. Having to share a room with a stranger was the worst; but she supposed it could’ve been someone else.

                  ❝ I DO NOT SNORE ! ❞ he’d snap back almost immediately , tone of voice raising along with his blood pressure . well , okay , maybe he didn’t have any way to prove whether he actually snored . al never said anything about it , but then again , he didn’t need to sleep like most people . but he certainly wasn’t about to apologize for anything after such a rude awakening ! of all people , why did he have to be escorted around by her ... it certainly made searching for information a whole lot harder .

                    ed had entered remnant under the guise of assisting huntsmen when his true intentions were , of course , completely selfish . he knew this place had its own form of magic - thought perhaps he might find something to help him restore his brother’s body - perhaps even the limbs he had lost , as well . 

                  with a hefty sigh , he would turn over onto his side . he desperately itched to wander around on his own , exploring the area under the guise of nightfall , now that he was awake - but he knew there was no way the other would let him out of her sight .

Well...condescending was part of her tone, though in all honesty, he knew she wasn’t trying to be. Though he said nothing, letting her speak before he spoke once more, gruff tone a little gentler than usual.

“...I know you ain’t. Fer one, ya bothered ta correct yerself even though ya didn’t have ta, ‘n two, yer talkin’ to a Faunus like a normal person,” he offered after a minute or two, tilting his head a bit.

“As uh...fer who I am, ‘M Sköll. I’ve...erhm...heard a few things from Rubes about ya ‘n was...curious,” he admitted sheepishly with a shrug.

Winter’s eyes widened and she immediately felt guilty. “Oh, no, Weiss, I’m sorry.” She murmured. “I got into an argument with Father. I’m frustrated and I took it out on you when I shouldn’t have.” She wasn’t the best with affection, but she could always make an exception for her little sister, so she held open her arms. “Come here.” She urged gently.
