It’s always the way. Although the whole week in Iceland had been incredible, the best part landed on the last day. On the south coast of Iceland there is a landscape like nowhere else I’ve ever seen. Here the melting glacier pours crystal clear water and chunks of ice into a lagoon, feeding into the ocean. Once at sea, the glacial icebergs are carried back onto the black, volcanic beach where they stay perched to be broken apart by the sea or melted by the midday sun. Having changed from the ocean to the land, the mighty wind blew over the massive glacier, freezing my fingers to camera shaped claws. The fold rolled in heavier and heavier, but still, it was worth it.
