Soooo I don’t think I’ve ever showed these two before.
They’re twins named Pyre and Icelynn, and they are elemental mutants.
In their story, mutants are typically allowed to remain in society (there’s lots of logistics to it, case-by-case basis, etc.) so long as they control their ‘oddities’ and don’t hurt anyone.
Those with small changes like just an extra arm or eye experience little to no trouble, while those who are more volatile (psychic powers, transformation, became part animal) go through a lot of pushback. Minors are typically ignored so long as a major incident doesn’t happen.
Well, these twins are not only elemental mutants, the rarest form of mutant, they fight. A lot. Nothing major happens until their sixteenth birthday, during which they freeze/set fire to a majority of their home town.
This of course breaks the whole ‘no dangerous mutants’ law, and they’re shipped off to where all the dangerous mutants go: The island of Quarantina.
Upon arrival, they learn the island is basically a giant city for mutants, with districts catering to the various mutants’ needs. Being minors, they are placed under the care of an older mutant (i forget who like i said this was a Middle School project).
So the island is typically under government surveillance, but at the same time it’s sort of a ‘free-for-all’ scenario. The government is keeping them all there for ‘observational purposes’ so they really don’t care what they do.
Basically as the story goes on, the twins start out by trying to escape the island, then trying to stop the mutant villains from causing too much trouble and leaving the island, trying to find out the true intentions of the government, and then the true identity of their parents (because surprise! the parents they had (normal humans) aren’t their real parents)
I’ll need to go through my old papers and try to find my character concepts and the like (I KNOW more exists than just these two’s designs), but I Really Like it and wanna work on it more, sooo
