there are often times far more QUIET in the bunker than he would have expected. more hours on his hands than he ever needed. yes, his duties as king are still DIFFICULT. there is a large burden on his shoulder and he is as busy as ever. but at the same time, there is less to do down here. it was worse when he was in the infirmary, unable to do anything but stare up at a concrete ceiling and wait for updates from his war-chief. now he has his full duties back. but it is still hard when the quieter hours come. his mind can retreat far too deeply within itself. when that happens he tries to FIND a way to keep from sinking too low. of late, he has, strangely enough, found something soothing in seeking out his family.
his brother has a son now. whatever DIFFERENCES they might have, he doesn’t want that to spoil whatever relationship he can have with what little family is left. so many have been lost. he failed ontari. sometimes when he looks at the infant he wonders if he will be allowed a second chance, to have a hand in the life of a growing child ( and possible heir now that echo is not there to ever provide him one, though he has not mentioned that to either parent ). “ ha ste strikon deyon? ” he inquires as he QUIETLY enters the azgeda dorm, gaze falling on the boy almost instantly.
