Redesigned my dad’s business cards today.
In case anyone is wondering, my dad has been carving ice for a couple decades. I’m not sure exactly how long but I know more than 28 years. Since his beginning he’s actually rebranded his business by himself. Originally his business was called Illustrations in Ice and the color scheme was very 80s/90s with gray, light blue, and pink. A couple years ago he changed his business name to iceworksNW and had me design his logo. His logo was very similar to the one on the business card except the words were standard black, and the “NORTHWEST” was spaced terribly (my early beginnings in graphic design). His business cards also had too much going on.
Anyways, I’m actually thrilled that he asked me to fix some things with his business in terms of design. I guess you could say he’s my official first client. Too bad I kinda had to do this pro bono...
