Clara wondered what she was doing out here, among the fighting, far away from the safety of the Citadel. She hadn’t been required to take arms, to fight in the war, but she felt as though it was something she had to do. It was not a sense of duty, a sense to fight, but more along the lines of some unexplained feeling that she would constantly get right in the middle of her chest.

This was it. This had to be the reason. She could feel it just by looking at him, the way that she almost recognized him, even though they had never met before.

She was already running, but now she began to run towards him. Immediately she grabbed onto his coat. "There's nothing you can do here. There's a temporal fusion bomb about to go off; we have to go! Now!"
