“Dandy II” – the Otokoyaku Show We Needed Right Now
Last week, we went to see the brand new Dandy II at our beloved OSK! ♥️ This one hit different — because for us, Dandy isn’t just a show. It’s personal. Back in 2020, the original Dandy was the beginning of our journey as fans — not just researchers. That’s when everything changed. And now it’s back… with a completely different cast.
✨ This time on stage: Amaki Leo, Todo Yuuto, Ichiya Yuu, and Kyoga Riku.
Four stunning performers — each with such a different vibe, energy, and sense of sensuality. That contrast made it really compelling to watch.
Not gonna lie, we got super emotional at certain points. Total tears. Even though the songs were upbeat, sexy, and full of charisma 😈, the nostalgia hit hard.
We especially loved the moody intro sequence and the classic songs — each actress chose her own, and you could feel that personal connection. Sadly, we haven’t been to all of their solo concerts, so we didn’t recognize every song — but that made it even more fascinating.
Ichiya’s solo from Goemon was unforgettable. That was the first time we ever saw her perform, years ago. During the number, old footage played in the background… and the contrast between the Ichiya on screen and the Ichiya on stage? Two completely different women. It really made us reflect — how do people change like that? 🤔
Amaki Leo has changed too — in the best way. She looked amazing, more confident and mature. Her singing felt deeper, more intentional. Especially in the older songs. That emotional growth really left an impression on us ☺️
We’re still getting to know Kyoga Riku and Todo Yuuto, but honestly? They’re both very promising. Can’t wait to see how they grow in future performances.
That’s all for now — thanks for reading 💫 With love, AsakusaSisters ♥️
