ICON CHALLENGE

i was tagged by @meissaantares thank you so much, i really wanted to participate 🤍😊

rules: pick an icon from any era, it can be with movies/music/fashion, etc. it can be one sim or two (all kinds of icons are welcome).

as soon as i saw this challenge, i knew i would create David Bowie! this whole process took approximately 2 hours because i don’t really know how photoshop works + i love distracting myself from editing 😵 i used 4 different screenshots to create a complete image of David (2 for hair, 1 for nose and 1 for eye). also, big thanks to my best friend for helping me with shaping that lightning bolt on the face! in my opinion, the sim doesn’t really look like David without makeup but that’s not a big deal. all in all, i am really proud of the result! :)

So even though I am a bit late, I am going to announce now. The results were very close, but we do have a winner!

I chose to portray baby Haven as the unforgettable and legendary Aretha Franklin: Queen of Soul! Powerful, beautiful, strong, and talented, Aretha Franklin is a huge role model and icon for Haven herself as a shy, heavier minority woman, and she seemed like the perfect fit for this challenge! Dressing Haven up and shooting her like this was so much fun for me. Haven has a gift for song writing (to come up later in RW), with Respect and A Natural Woman being two big inspirations for her to write songs portraying positivity and love.
