“Icon is you. Icon always was you.”

“It don’t matter, though. This book is about me.”
Raquel Ervin appreciation post 1/?
Okay, so this is my problem. I want to read the Icon comics, which I initially thought shouldn’t be too hard since there aren’t that many of them. I went out and bought Icon Vol. 1 (issues #1-8), and foolishly thought I was off to a good start.
Then I wanted to read volume 2, which I quickly discovered is out of stock, like, from any mainstream bookseller and a bit more difficult to get a hold of for a reasonable price, but I did it and it just came in the mail. (Side-note: my local comic book shop guy didn’t know who Icon was or have any in stock smh). Only now I’ve discovered (and it’s totally my fault for not really looking into it first) that it picks up with issue #13, then skips to #19, and in general comic book form skips around a lot. (To be specific, I’m missing issues #9-12, 14-18, 23, 28-29, and 31-42.)
So I was wondering, where can I read the missing issues? So of course I turned to the internet. And I can’t find them?? Am I just not looking in the right places?
Also, volume 2 ends with #30, and there are 42 issues, so.
Basically, any Icon fans out there? Anyone know the best way to read Icon outside of the collections? Is there somewhere I can find the missing issues online, or should I start scouring Amazon and Ebay for the singles? Honestly, that would get really expensive really fast (it’s like, $6/issue including shipping, so I’m not really sure if that option is viable). Is it worth reading the missing issues not in the collection, or should I just skip them?
