Hey there! I’ve really been liking your cursed biology series, and was wondering if you’ve got any cursed marine iguana facts?

marine iguanas spend a LOT of their time fucking around in the ocean eating seagrass, and they end up absorbing or ingesting a lot of seawater while doing so!

this would kill a normal iguana, but marine iguanas have a special salt gland in their nose that removes the salt from their systems and concentrates it into a hyper-salty liquid that they then....
