Hi there!

wooden fence: a favorite memory 

When I won an academical contest for the first time, I think. I felt like everything was possible to me and that I would do something great in my life. Sadly I don’t quite believe in it that much anymore, but I still feel like I have something to do. God knows what!

1: Do you sleep on a blanket over your mattress with another blanket on top, or with just one blanket on top of you?

Ooh. Typically, a blanket just on top of me, but sometimes with one blanket over my mattress and one on me.

3: If faced with the opportunity, would you ever kill a criminal whom you don't know if it meant you could get anything you want in return? (Keep in mind you do not/can not know what said criminal has done to become a criminal until after you've made your decision)

Is there any risk involved? What does anything you want entail? Will my actions be publicized? Honestly, although it'd suck to kill a person who was jailed for a nonviolent crime (which is a fairly high amount of the criminals in our justice system IIRC), getting literally anything I want is too good to pass up.

7: What's the weirdest thing you've ever experienced, may it be just reading about it or experiencing it in the flesh?

Huh. I know I have a good answer to this, but I can't think of any right now. I should post later about that.

What would you do to be omnipotent?

I dunno if I'd mess around with much tbh.

As a God, you'd be in charge of Understanding How Things Work. See, your generation of gods isn't the same ones that helped set the basic mechanisms in place, so there's a lot of stuff out there that you don't understand. Hell, the few gods remaining from that first generation don't understand. It's not like they artfully crafted the universe, they just established some parameters and then effectively hit the "randomly generate" button, which then established the rules of the universe based off of that. So, your job is figuring out the mechanisms behind the universe. IN addition to that, people pray to you when they want to gain insight into the inner works of any complicated situation, whether scientific, or philosophical, or social. Your symbol is three gears, arranged so they cause motion.

Name: Kyle, The Lost King

Gender: Male

Race: Kyle appears to be Human, but a numerous amount of things about him are simply...off. He speaks a language that has been dead for several centuries, although he also speaks Common with a heavy accent and archaic phrasing. His magic is unlike any we have ever seen before, and seems to overwhelm our spells. He talks of a distant land that he ruled, before he was cursed, but there are no records of the land that he speaks of ever existing in the first place.

Class: Kyle is well versed in magic, enough that he's roughly an Archmage of the Third Circle. However, given that his magic trumps everything that it has been thrown against in our world, he could likely beat an Archmage of the Fifth Circle, and many divine beings, if he had to fight them. According to Kyle, his magic "subjugates the fabric of reality, and binds it to [his] will." Academy researchers have suggested that Kyle might know Word Magic, the Magic of the fundamental parts of reality, but given his interactions with Margret, a suspected host of a Word, this theory seems unlikely. Another suggestion is that Kyle's magic may be connected to his old language, and that Academy records are missing information about it.

Mastery: Kyle's magic largely focuses on Aether Manipulation, although he doesn't seem to know what the Aether is. Kyle is capable of willing reality to bend and break, destroying things by destroying the fabric of existence around them. This is distinct from Unmaking, and various Unmaking specialists seem uneased by Kyle's magic. Furthermore, Kyle has shown proficiency in doing the opposite: creating things from nothing. Academy research shows that both of these powers are connected, and that Kyle is largely only capable of creating things that he has destroyed in the past. A current idea is that Kyle can banish objects to and pull objects from another plane of existence, although he has yet to show capabilities of recreating sentient creatures that he has destroyed. 

Weapon: Kyle is armed with a sword in a golden sheath, a crown with gems, and a magnificent cloak. The sword is incredibly sharp, and capable of hurting most creatures that Kyle has fought, although when he dueled a First One, they seemed immune to it, possibly because it wasn't Cold Iron. The crown's abilities are as of yet undiscovered, but it almost blinded an Academy researcher who tried to view it with a true seeing spell. Finally, the cloak seems capable of allowing Kyle to vanish and appear, although the precise mechanism is uncertain. It doesn't appear to be invisibility, but it has allowed him to bypass anti-teleportation wards. Current theory is that the cloak is connected to the alternate plane where Kyle can store and retrieve items, and allows him to travel through that.

Companion/Familiar: Kyle thus far has been reluctant to ally himself with anyone, although he is a relative friend of the Academy. Kyle travels a great deal, and has brushed shoulders with many powerful individuals during his journeys, and either killed or engaged in pleasant conversation with a frightening number of them.

Level: Kyle's destructive capabilities are likely only high Mythic or Demigod Level, but he has shown to be able to fight evenly with Divine Level entities, given the mysterious nature of his magic.
