It's crazy how Bonrad ended up making me appreciate the Leyton and Roschel ships. Even though they're couples I don't usually like at all. Especially because of their toxicity. Their stupid concepts of soulmates and destiny, first love, etc. But they have something Bonrad never had: chemistry. These couples have real chemistry. And even if I don't like their writing, they still have some truly iconic moments. Bonrad, once again, doesn't have that.

First and foremost, thank you for calling out the rampant antisemitism on this site! It honestly makes me want to kms sometimes, so please know that you make a difference.

Secondly, I would love your take on why leyton aren't more popular? Relatively few notes on leyton gifsets, surprisingly few leyton fics, very few Youtube videos, etc. I'm biased because they're a top-tier forever OTP for me and I'm about to start a blog with all the leyton stuff I can find here, but I just don't get why they're not more loved! They're both bright, complicated people who are very flawed yet also with a ton of strengths, and happiness is elusive for both of them which a lot of us find supremely relatable. They have this immediate deep, enduring connection and, despite making major mistakes along the way, finally find that happiness with each other. It's such a rich and ultimately satisfying love story - at least to me?! I get that some fans don't want angst in their tv ships, but is it also the Brooke stuff? I just struggle to understand why they're not more loved and in a lot of cases even outright hated.

I have soooo many leyton vids favorited on YouTube so there’s definitely a lot of them it’s just that they were getting made 10+ years ago

Oth also isn’t a show with a lot of fic period. I know for me I only write fics when a show dropped the ball somewhere, like me writing for riverdale and stranger things is because I hate those shows and need to write what actually should’ve happened 😂 Friday night lights I wrote for because yes it’s a good show but the relationships are left open ended so I’m like I gotta get in and fix this. One tree hill is nearly a perfect show to me, leyton got a great ending and great development, so I don’t feel the need to write anything more

One tree hill fans have such hate boners for Lucas and Peyton separately that naturally them as a ship isn’t gonna draw people in. The hate for Lucas is so fucking stupid, the hate for Peyton even more so. “Oh I don’t like they cheated on Brooke” but it was fine for Brooke to pursue a guy she knew her best friend liked??? Be so fucking for real. Idc if my friend is telling me she doesn’t like him, if I know enough to have to ask if she’s okay with me dating him I know enough to be like you know what? There’s other men. I don’t need this one. And it’s not like Brooke started with the same attraction to Lucas as Peyton did like leyton from jump had a deeper soul connection whereas Brooke just wanted to fuck. So like you do that to your best friend cuz you’re horny??? At least Peyton had actual feelings involved

I can’t buy that angst is a factor either because the whole show is angst. Naley and brucas didn’t exactly have smooth relationships.

So idk. There’s no accounting for taste ya know. If you don’t like leyton…acquire some taste
