ok so me & my gf have been playing a lot of tprr and we have an au called “i’d choose you over myself” (icyom) and i play henry and this is my henry design :) i love him sooooo muchh

finally some story based ICYOM art !!!

(ik i explained some of this on the ref but i’ll reiterate it) in the 90’s—fnaf 1 era—henry & mike start to collect evidence and try to put pieces together to find the true perpetrator of the mci. evidence would come up that it was william, but henry would shut down the idea immediately. even with surveillance footage—he would say that the quality was too bad to know for sure or that it was just someone who looked like will. the william he knew wasn’t capable of murdering children.

but, of course, there comes a time where this idea of william has to break apart, when henry is out of options and takes a moment to genuinely consider william as a suspect, and all the pieces fall into place almost immediately. it breaks apart his view of a friend he’s had for most of his life & it kinda fucks him up

um! it fucks him up so bad that he starts hallucinating! so that’s what that is! (note: i think this would fall under psychotic depression? ok?) goodbye grip on reality, hello william bunny thing! it continues to haunt him.. uh… the rest of his life! it likes to manifest itself as suicidal or intrusive thoughts 🤔

this obviously makes him super paranoid, but also doesn’t help with the michael & william comparisons.. they look quite similar and a lot of the time henry can’t tell if he’s hallucinating or mikey is just there. mikey scared henry a lot just be being in the corner of his eye just because for a second, henry thinks it’s william

I finally made a more proper ICYOM henry ref! :)

the other one was messy & rushed, i knew i was gonna make a better one SOMEDAY…. this took me like 11 hours btw? i have no idea??? why? i was just pondering what all i could add and i guess i pondered for a long time.. gulp.,..

i also made a logo for icyom :-D !! you can see it in the corner there um

heh. awesome! if i ever do refs for any other characters (unlikely…) i’ll have this logo there so everyone knows its an au. and they can’t get mad at me.

i would normally add doodles but i don’t really have any 🤔 do you guys like… gacha..pictures…here’s my… henry and micheal in gacha… okay……? as a treat…

some notes & thoughts: mikey is a blank flank—he hasn’t really had the opportunity to find a special skill, and now he’s uncertain if he even CAN get a cutiemark anymore after getting scooped and. being dead. he also is the only afton in his generation to be born a unicorn, inherited from will. but something happened when he was a foal that broke his horn (don’t ask me what. i don’t know. yet.) the rest of the aftons are earth ponies !

um henry wise i think he makes like. five nights at pinkies looking animatronics. or literally just the gang if they were animatronic ponies straight out of 2014. good times. his cutiemark is supposed to kinda be like the combo of engineering & magic, he’s skilled at combining the two! into horrible horrible things!

henry & will are both unicorns and they probably use some. magic stuff to make the animatronics more lively or smth. henry’s SUPER smart with magic and is kinda a natural at it but will is… jealous of that & works really hard to be better with magic. it doesn’t help that henry is probably a little cocky about his magic knowledge & will is fuming

when mike breaks his horn, henry tries his best to help mike find some control in his magic again, (since will definitely won’t help) but unfortunately henry is a terrible teacher. they probably blew up a couple things. gulp. but with time henry does actually help mike and mike knows like. party tricks. that’s it 😭

i promise i always drew him dirty blonde i just?? drew him brunette with a flannel on? (i normally drew him in that fuckass enchantedmob white dress shirt and blue tie) the flannel that turns your hair brown
