candy and sandy ✨️
the phoenix 4 weeks old!!
we have ONE cockerel, bigboy; and, introducing, with their permanent names now, 6 pullets: janey (littleboy), sherry (shaggy), wendy (slippy), rosalita (zippy), sandy (boo), candy (kiki).
chicknames here for reference, as i'll be changing their tags to the new names.
look
choose your fighter. boo or kiki
i called them kiki and bouba purely because one had a pointier headstripe (only way i could tell them apart at first) and it was the first thing to come to mind. but it turns out boo is very sweeties and cuddly and kiki is rather loud and chaotic and loves violence more.
i may be kind of stupid but i finally cracked the code for these: head stripe shape.
and so, at 12 days old, heres all the phoenix: Zippy (medium sized, short down, narrow irregular stripe), Slippy (medium sized, longer down, narrow stripe with point), Bigboy (huge, comb developing, longer down until he grew into it, very narrow stripe), Littleboy (small, short down, narrow stripe with point), Shaggy (small, very long down, wedge shaped stripe), littlegirl aka Bouba (small, short down, very wide round stripe, chocolate brown), littlegirl aka Kiki (small, short down, wide stripe but narrower than bouba's, and more orange)
candy is such a pretty lil girl
