While kids and their parents were celebrating this year's Santa Claus Parade here in Toronto, I was at the MaRS Discovery District eager to gather some insights on audience engagement for THE PATH.
Esther Lim was the workshop's lead (you can follow her @geekgrl). We worked on and talked about the ideal fan of THE PATH, which sometimes sounded crazy because I was actually talking about the amazing people that Steph and I met throughout the ideaBOOST social media campaign for the project.
Moving forward, we will be listening what you guys are saying online about your favourite shows. We already know that you're excited about a strong female lead (like Veronica Mars) and the opportunity to interact with her, but what do you wish was done for your favourite shows?

We've started the blog celebrating THE PATH's acceptance in the ideaBOOST program, but forgot to share our pitch with you.
If you just joined the conversation, here's what THE PATH is about...
ideaBOOST: Days #1 and #2
The first day of the ideaBOOST media lab was all about getting to know each other and learning about systems, procedures, etc. Day #2 was when the fun really started!
We met some of the industry experts that will be working with us until March and started designing our "investor's package." Aaron Williamson was also creating visualization boards of the presentations on the fly. Impressive, right?

ideaBOOST: Day #3
Yes, the Canadian Film Centre's main house is like urban paradise... too bad winter is coming. (They even have a swimming poll here)
Day #3 was intense! Great insights on audience engagement and business development strategies. THE PATH is gaining shape and form and I can't wait to go back to the office to share all the findings with the Smokebomb team.
Also, we will be coming up with activities for what we are calling a "user experience day" and we will love to have you testing some of our concepts and ideas for the show.
