This is a copy of a peice of art from a game called dixit, I will edit this with a picture of the original as well soon, but I am trying to do studies of different peices of art to devlop a style, and this is the first of that endeavour!
digital art using krita, by me!

This is kind of for my own personal use, but I dont have a more convienient place for it than here, and it might be interesting for some people!
Firstly, I really like the concept of the peice. The game dixit requires images of very concept-based and intriguing things, and I like the interpretations of this. I think this kind of concept-focused/thought provoking theme is something I would want to include in original pieces.
I think in original pieces I would use a more nature-focused pallete, but I do think these colours work well together, although they are rather vibrant.
I used the pencil brush for all of this piece, and I like the softness and the ability to change the strength of the colour with that brush.
I found this piece very useful to study shading and colour. In previous works, I have used the blend brush intensly, but in this i didnt use it at all, noticing the harsher boundaries between light and shade. I think over-blending was an issue in previous works.
In terms of the style, I quite like the expressive cartoon face, and the unrealistic proportions and shapes of different features.
Rev share is not paid work. If it’s rev-share and you want people to help you with it be upfront and honest about what you’re doing.
Please stop telling me you’ve got a great “paid” gig for me… and when we start discussing a price you reveal it’s a percentage of the sales after you release your game. That’s not paid, that’s revenue you’re sharing- rev share. Essentially you’re asking me to work for free and maybe I’ll get paid if we’re lucky, but the fact you’re using the wrong terminology means you are either trying to take advantage of me or are so inexperienced you have no idea what you’re doing, let alone know how to release and promote a game if it even makes it to being a finished product. If you can’t figure out how to fund your own damn game it sure fucking isn’t going to make it to release, let alone be successful. No self respecting animator will want anything to do with you if you do this.
...and if you're an artist/animator make sure you get at least a partial payment up front, it helps to weed out the assholes that aren't serious, don't know what they're doing, or are going to try to screw you over later. People that won't put a portion of the final payment down upfront are people who are usually a waste of your time and probably won't pay you anyway.
