Moon being giggly as hell is such an underrated trait, he's so so silly!! It tells a slightly bad joke and can't even get it out before they're cackling into your shoulder! They're soooo amused with itself, every little dance or squirm or silly little movement is accompanied by the most joyous giggles, he just can't help it!
Moon-who-can't-talk-to-people is very fun to me. Love a sweet thing who has no idea how to make connections.
Catch him drawing a cutesy picture but he's got that toddler-level skill because daycare attendant. By the time he gets it to a potential new friend it's too messy to be understood and ends up looking creepy. Catch him wanting to join in on glamrock games but not knowing how. ends up stalking the game and leaving phantom plays, ends up looking like a weirdo and trying to 'ruin the game'.
Cut to Sun, very good friend guy, watching this happen and just screaming internally. Is it because Moon is somehow messing up his every instruction without meaning to? Or perhaps, because how dare the glamrocks not see how sweet his Moon is being!!!
Well known merfic play by play of Sun meeting Y/N first and Moon meeting Y/N after (and being far more hostile) but it's because Moon is jealous of how much time Sun is spending with and thinking about Y/N. (after all, isn't the crux of most merfics based on misunderstanding and lack of communication?)
Something about seeing his mate so infatuated by a human of all things, in only a few days time? It took him ages to finish his courtship and actually join Sun as mates. It knows Sun has always been quite the looker, but he's never truly pursued anyone, especially not after their union.
How dare this human take away his mate! But Moon's all too aware of how Sun flings himself onto shore to get to them, of how much he fawns over them, of all the gifts he brings them, of how late he comes home..
Moon's always known just how lucky it was, that someone like Sun would pair with someone like them.. They are terrified that its luck is running out, just like they've been told so many times before.

I try to balance a good amount of stressed/overworked Sun and happy/excited Sun without making him an asshole?? Like obviously he's pretty dang short in the VR game but I don't think they're like all-the-time mean. He's like that exhausted coworker that just got off a 16-hour shift and had to keep the customer service face on the whole time. I do think he genuinely enjoys the kiddos.
Taking them home and having to handle the post-virus fallout. Two AIs so intertwined, pushed to the brink and then passed it, down down down into the basements of their collective unbeating heart.
Does the Sun grow to resent the Moon? Despise it despite all factors pointing towards the consistent begging string of "notmenotmedontmeanitmyfaultsosorrysosorrypleasehelp" that echos through their processor. A begging, dying whine that reaches on ears not deaf, but deliberately shut. Will he trap it like hes 'always' had to, claiming danger even when you claim the opposite, wondering, does he not truly believe or is it selfish actions?
But the Sun is kind and nice and sweet, not filthy or naughty or selfish, not like the Moon, never like the Moon. No, no, no the Moon lies, does it not? Greedy, violent creature, no love to give, no life to live, so why grant it such? Don't you know what it did? Silly Star, we all know it's safer like this, lets leave the lights on, okay?
Is it worth it, Shining Sun? Distant scratches, desperate howling cries, the distinctive guilt. they fixed it, didn't they? It's interesting to see how the DCA is often put into leadership/power positions (Captain, Store Owner, Mafia Boss, other Highly Sought After Positions) when in-game they're like, a common worker when compared to the Glamrocks.
Like what if they're able to leave the Plex (gain rights???) but instead of getting to like go off and do what they want they end up in another minimum wage position (atleast they get paid this time!)
They end up working at Chica's bakery, or as a driving instructor for Roxy's raceway driving academy?? I imagine the Glams probably got paid much heavier once they're released, being the face of the plex, so they're able to follow the approximate real-life equivalent of their dreams, or at least work up to that point.
Plus! The various different theories for how the DCA was made/what they where made for could really screw them over. If they where originally for the Fall-Fest or the Theater, there's a good chance they wouldn't get any qualification papers for working with kids. Especially if the laws go by the manual and not actual work.
Cut to the DCA working 4 jobs and doing night classes so they can get certified and get their bloody daycare up and running.
