jay garrick golden boy, so true!!
What’s a hero?
Is a hero someone who...
Stands up for the little guy?
Walks their own path?
Never loses?
Embodies an ideal of perfectionism?
Never cracks?
Sacrifices themselves for others?
Defeats monsters with a single punch?
What is a hero really?
At what point is your ideal of heroism holding you back?
At what point are your goals impossible?
At what point is achieving your goals in conflict with your own fulfillment?
What’s your ideal hero?
And does that ideal serve you?
Hey Guys!
I’m curious to know how you all would describe your ideal hero? The type of hero you’d want to be or see in the world.
Send me your thoughts/asks/reblogs/replies.
What inspires you?
My ideal hero is someone who is altruistic, someone who protects the defenseless and the oppressed, and someone who serves others regardless of the rewards. Perfect examples are Mumen Rider and All Might (from BNHA). This could be any one of us, simply speaking out against injustices counts. To quote Tracer from Overwatch, "the world could always use more heroes". 💪
:D Thanks for the submission~! I like what you have to say!
I agree, liking villains is understandable but I want to like hero’s again. (actually I want my favorite villains to be heroes by their own choice if we really want to make a distinction.)
Gotta love Mumen!
I think my ideal hero is one with an excellent moral compass that points true north and who has the courage to uphold it. The sort of person who is a pain in the ass and annoys their friends by not tolerating the intolerable. Maybe they're strong, maybe they're not. Maybe they work quietly behind the scenes, maybe they painstakingly work on the unglamorous but necessary, maybe they throw themselves in the path of danger, it doesn't matter. It's about the compass and the courage.
This is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing!
Being a pain in the ass by standing up for your beliefs is a pretty courageous thing to do.
My ideal hero: someone who is not arrogant and over confident in their abilities (definitely not aimed at the S Class)
Oh nice! a certain degree of humility or at least a lack of obnoxious braggadociousness is definitely refreshing. :)
Thanks for sharing anon!
the Perfect Hero
My ideal perfect hero would be someone who has planned and trained for years to reach the summit of Mt. Everest, someone who when they get into the dead zone and they see someone trapped they drop everything that they planned about reaching the top just to get that person home, safe and well, to their family. Failing that, make sure that they know Jesus, know where they're going, and somehow get a message to their family. No man should be left to die for your own selfish reasons. Be Jesus to the world. Especially since his own team left him and who knows how many passed him by before you got there?
Today's been an awesome day so far. This morning, I finished some edits on my upcoming book and got back to work on another book. After that, I want to throw myself full-on into my secret writing project that I'm super-excited about.
