I want to push myself to be better than what others expect of me. I want to be greater than their misconceptions and judgements. Am I changing for the insignificant benefit of others? No. Am I simply gaining satisfaction from carving a better version of myself to fit my liking? Yes. Call me a perfectionist, but I won't stop the alterations until I truly see that I am better than what I thought I was.
