          Romeo found little reason why Cain had been so eager for a clothes shopping spree -- other than a proclamation of ‘Dude, wear casual clothes for once!’ -- and the former lord had no reply for why he shouldn’t wear anything different, other than that he had none, and then one thing turned into another.

          So, here they are at the shops, with many other merchants surrounding them, but the duo focused on the clothes shop. Well, it’s more Cain that’s able to pick up what clothes would look best, Romeo’s remains wrapping his head around what makes clothes ‘casual.’

          “I know you’ve offered to buy me some clothes for some reason, but how many were you planning on having me walk away with...?” Romeo can’t help but ask, since surely this shouldn’t take too much time, if he goes along with whatever Cain throws at him.

too bad he was already running late for school, but he really didn't mind apologising. his teacher happened to be a friendly older woman, who easily forgave him... with some extra homework. prompto supposed that his first day could have started worse than it did, but the worst thing happened to him, when he ran through the list of clubs. there were so many sport related clubs, from soccer to volleyball, soft tennis or table tennis, even stuff he had never heard of, but the blond certainly missed the word ' baseball '. how could he enter a high school that had no baseball club? he had been a pitcher for more than 3 years now and it was so much fun, he couldn't just give it up.

a long loud sigh left his lips as he pondered on which club to join. since he couldn’t decide right away, prompto decided to push it to another day, but not without actually stumbling into someone. “oh, man, i am really sorry - i wasn’t looking. “ blue eyes smiled apologetically at the male. something told him he had seen the guy before, but he couldn’t remember. since he couldn’t remember, he deemed it unimportant.

“Yo, Cain! Captain told me you’d be out here!” He called with a bright grin, his free hand going to ruffle the general’s hair, while the other held tight to a decent-sized basket. Of course, he was Vice-Captain of the Order of White Dragons, so he should probably be the one sparring instead of his visitor. And yet here he was with a picnic in hand instead; something he had worked hard on for a union with a particular mountain hike, but saved at least one serving for Cain and the others.

It wasn’t everyday the crew visited Feendrache, so Vane and Lancelot always made sure to at least prepare a welcome for them. The picnic was just icing on the cake (and had a much better hike down than last time too), and Vane wasn’t going to let Cain miss out on at least the food bit. “Guess they were right when they said you’d get bored of the tour and wouldn’t just sit around one place. Though I half expected to see you in town,” Vane started, letting go of Cain’s hair and jabbing his thumb towards the hall doors. “The cadets are gonna be training here soon, though, so the hall might be a better place for a meal. Unless you’ve got somewhere else in mind?”

         Truly, Percival had thought it better if he avoided dressing leisurely on the ship, but for some reason, he was talked into walking around in the same outfit he had worn when he returned to Wales. It was a fairly comfortable outfit, but obviously was suited more for leisure as opposed to combat. Nonetheless, he complied. Just this once. Although, he didn’t really expect to get stopped in the middle of the halls by... Cain, was it? He was aware of the man’s talents, although he had never bothered to speak to him until now. Perhaps a decent candidate for a vassal.

          ... If only he stopped staring.

          “If you require anything from me, then hurry up and spit it out.”

👃 Poke my muse’s nose

     THERE WERE VARIOUS WAYS that one could catch Ozymandias’ attention and poking his nose was certainly…new and very unexpected. Snapping out of his thoughts, he slowly glanced in Cain’s direction, brows rising with slight curiosity. The gall this man had, but there was no fault in such bravery. Besides, it was not as if the Sun King was bothered by. Just perhaps slightly taken aback by the gesture. No one had done that to him since...well...a very long time. ❝Hm? Did you need something, Cain? There are other ways to regain my focus, you know; however, I shall forgive you out of the kindness of my heart for your lack of manners.❞

it had been many months since the last time that the grandcypher had docked in feendrache—which was expected, due to the nature of their goals. going all the way to estalucia meant saying goodbye and hoping for their continued safety on a regular basis. letters could be writ back and forth to ease overthought worries about the captains and their crew, but there was still always a sense of relief that washed over lancelot whenever they arrived in person.

of course, each trip and letter brought many a story of the people they had met and adventures they had gone on. there were always new faces within the crew, and lancelot would, of course, do his best to be a good host to them as long as they stayed within the capital.

✦ –– “ general cain of idelva. i’ve heard much and more about you the last time that gran and djeeta visited. it’s a pleasure to finally meet you in person—i am captain lancelot of the order of white dragons. should you need anything, please let me know. ”

which brought him to the present conversation. lancelot couldn’t truly be sure if his mannerisms would fit in with the supposedly laid back general, but he did want to make a good impression on the man.
