THE WAIT IS FINALLY OVER - IDSA NOW IN LA!!! It was about 7 years ago, in my never-ending hunt for amazing young actors of color, that I stumbled on a pari of jaw-dropping talents making a name for themselves on London stages and screens, both virtually unknown here in the states at that time. A few googling sessions later I discovered they were both repped by Femi Oguns and studiend at his Identity School of Acting, which had an equally jaw-dropping story of its own. (Do yourself a favor and google it.) It’s been thrilling and mad inspiring to watch & support IDSA & Femi over these years! Oh, and those 2 “unknown” students/clients of his, John and Malachi? They are now household names here in the states, better known as “Finn” of “Star Wars” & “Kunta Kinte” of “Roots.” Yeah… it’s like that.
