Would you say Ran is analytical or emotional in her decision making?

During battle? Ran is an analytical thinker, there’s no two ways about it. When I call her a tigress, it’s not because I think it’s cute. When you think of cats, they prowl and stalk their prey, assessing their weakness and the odds of catching and killing them. Even with the battle of the Fracciones on that rooftop, she knew she could take on that big guy, but even so she didn’t want to fight him with only a percentage of her power. She likes fighting with giving her all, y’know? And he wasn’t even a real formidable opponent giving the fact that it didn’t take her much to destroy him with Haineko.  No tigress wants to battle weak prey, I feel like she was toying with him.

Now emotional decision making comes in when she faced off with the Tres Bestias, she was emotionally stunted at the time and wasn’t really thinking clearly and was arrogant and so she stepped into a that particular battle.

What would make Ran blush? What would make her cry?

Ah, that’s tough because it doesn’t really happen that much. Unless someone’s talking dirty in her ear ( coughskenseicoughs) or like really sweet gestures. Get Rangiku her favorite flowers, remember her birthday, unexpected affectionate gestures. It’s the small things that matter to her.

Oh gosh, making her cry means a little part of her dies inside. Abandon her, make her feel like she doesn’t matter, that she’s never mattered ( especially if you’re her significant other or one of her closet friends ). She isn’t much of a crier in all honest, Gin’s death aside. She really does internalize thing, so it either explodes outward like anger or she isolates herself.

What would make Ran uncomfortable?

That’s actually a really good question. In the past, I would say, speaking about Gin’s death. But now, I would say speaking about her emotions. She will outright avoid even mentioning anything about what she tends to internalize ( her abandonment issues, her fear of not being enough/ of not belonging, etc. ) The facade she shows everyone is just that and if you attempt to question her about what you might see, or might have seen, she completely shuts down, fake smiles and dismissive the subject. If you continue to press on, she gets uncomfortably, nervous && downright unsociable.

How does Ran feel about her shinigami duty? Was she ever tempted to go against the rules? Would she go against them for a friend?

Rangiku actually takes her Shinigami duty very seriously. As you see in Diamond Dust Rebellion, she contemplates disobeying her duty in order to go after her Captain, but decides against it because she knows it’s something he has to do on her own.  For Toshiro, Rangiku would against rules a thousand times over, and there are a few times where she considers it, not just in that particular movie but throughout the manga. I’m sure she doesn’t break rules without really thinking through all available options, but if it’s of dire importance, then that would her last resort.

But come to think of it, she tends to find loopholes in everything she does. Considering paperwork seems to be important, I found it ridiculous that she hasn’t been demoted considering she’s known to be lazy and an alcoholic and Toshiro complains that she doesn’t do her duties. But to Rangiku, protecting her Taichou and their surbordinates is her duty and that’s all that should ever matter. Will she willingly stand infront of a blade for them if faced off with a comrade, yes. For her Captain? Absolutely, because she’s pledged to place her life on the life on the line for him, just as he would do for her.

My Opinion on;

Character in general: Kaneda is my future husband, no lie I would ask him to marry me if I could ever meet him. No but he’s my precious sinning child, who just deserves all the love ever and even if he’s a bit of a deliquent, his heart is always in the right place and honestly he deserves so much more than he could ever hope for. From the tragedy with Tetsuo and the friend he lost and just everything after that, he is just-- damnit he needs love okay? Love my child.How they play them: No lie, can’t anybody tell me different but this is THE Kaneda. From his mannerisms ( how he flirts, how confident he is, his determination&& persistence ) and just how much he cherishes his bike to his utter appreciation for the ladies, man there is no one who can do him justice. ‘Nough said.The Mun: Mike is a sweetheart okay? He’s so friendly and open and just-- -throws all the beautiful love at you-
