Narrative: this is meant to show their first kiss. In b6, Sandy finds out about the exact curse Idia has and the circumstances of his life. This being a big reason on Idia’s part on why their relationship does not progress. As the more Idia realized he loves Sandy, the more he felt she deserved better than to live in the Underworld, and he doesn’t want to drag her down there.

The more he yearned for her, the more he feared having her.

After he gives Vil the cosmetics Rook brought, Idia holds Sandy back at her request to speak with him. When she asks if he will erase their memories (both her research report in b5 and her otaku heart coming in handy), Idia becomes upset and confesses to her that none of this was supposed to happen. He then goes on to explain that he had meant to break up with her for the last two years, but could never bring himself to do so which left his last hope that during senior year, Sandy would get a good internship, and eventually he would fade out of her life like a game going EoS.

He asks Sandy if she will argue with him, but Sandy replies “what’s the point? I’ll forget all about this, and you’ll be stuck with all the bad memories.”

Rather, Sandy finally confesses to him that she loves him, and always has, basically telling him she chooses him, so she chastely kisses him, in a selfish act, and gives him her headband where with the two forget-me-not clips are—a symbol for remembrance and devoted love.

Idia is too stunned to react, but before she leaves the room, asks why she would throw away her kiss and confession knowing she’ll forget.

Sandy at the door, smiles at him, “It’s precisely because I will forget this that I have to say it now. I’m a coward, so I don’t think I can bring myself to say all of it again. But when the me who has forgotten all this, finally works up the courage to say all that I have, I hope that you hearing it a second time will finally get through to you. Ciao, Idia!”

I stole this dialogue from Marvel What If (the Doctor Strange segment), but Sandy is just playing around.

I haven’t properly introduced Sandy on tumblr—She’ll have her profile up and intro sometime this month.

For now, brief intro: Sandy is Skully’s little sister. I took a lot of liberties in their story, so if it doesn’t add up to his card vignette, it’s because I wrote their lore before more info on Skully came out. Due to magic, Sandy and Skully were separated (though both unbeknownst to one another’s plight, as Skully had gone to NRC and was trapped in the book), Sandy was trapped in a time displacement curse in their old town shortly after.

Sandy winded up in present time, unknown that she’s from the past. She has believed Skully was deceased since she was 7 yrs old, and they don’t get to reunite until Lost in the Book of Halloween: the Nightmare Before Christmas, albeit briefly.

*Idia is here because he’s Sandy’s boyfriend. The two met in an MMORPG when they were 13, shortly after Idia had finished building Ortho and perfecting the Cerberus System. They became gaming buddies online, and by complete accident, Sandy became his online girlfriend. They both winded up meeting each other in person at Night Raven College, but neither were aware the other was attending.

Lots of silly shenanigans, angst, and slow-burn.

Elysium - WIP

I’m backed up in posting art here again but this is like the one drawing I’m so proud of in a long time. I think it came out pretty~

I was messaging a friend on discord and she asked if I was making a reference to Persephone with Alissandre, but I told her how I liken Sandy to a representation of Elysium/Asphodel Meadows because I use “the dead” as a symbol for her and that her story parallels Idia’s about grief, mourning, and closure and how the two find solace and love in each other’s company.

Sandy is very much a manifestation for me of everything Halloween but it goes so well with the dead theme that I just get so brainrotted over it all.
